Ivory Road is one of my favorite places. The owner, Jill, has guided the place through many concept changes – all good. Right now it’s a wine bar where you can taste interesting wines and enjoy charcuterie, a yummy cheese plate or an assortment of dips (not your run of the mill). We’ve enjoyed many hours there chatting with friends that we met while trying new wines. Jill attracts the best people. So glad it’s located close to me in Arden. We also joined the wine club...
I was a regular attendee of the Wednesday wine tastings before I left Asheville, and it’s one of my favorite memories and things I miss most! Jill has created such a wonderful atmosphere to hang out, appreciate wine and meet new friends. She’s a wonderful person and a talented curator of events and experiences, and I hope she continues to be very successful!
We recently attended a blind wine tasting event at Ivory Road and had a marvelous time. We went with another couple and all of us found surprises about wine varieties that we had previously given up on. We also all learned about new labels and tasting descriptions/techniques. Jill was a great hostess, who obviously has a wealth of wine knowledge that she clearly and readily shared with us throughout the evening.
