Positano offers a mixed dining experience with reviews ranging from perfect evenings to noticeable disappointments. The atmosphere is described as very fancy and good for a date night, with a cute little bar area and specialty cocktails. Food reviews are divided. Some guests find the food absolutely delicious, highly recommending the Chicken Parmesan and the Alla Sorrento, and praising the hot and fresh bread. The pizza receives love but is also called the most basic and a bit overpriced. Other dishes like the turkey sandwich and chicken parm are enjoyed, while the rotisserie chicken's Italian potatoes are criticized for being dry and unseasoned. Negative notes include okay food, a not-good calamari appetizer, and a cheesesteak overly seasoned with oregano. Service is generally nice but can be slow, especially when busy, with delays in meals and checks. While some would not return, others have added it to their list of restaurants to revisit.
