First & last time coming here. The service was terrible. The guy who took the order seemed annoyed and took a second to acknowledge us. I ordered to go and when I got home and checked my food I realized they got my order wrong. The pupusas were undercooked as well. Don’t know how this place has such high ratings. I’d rather go down the street to Pattys, they are so sweet and attentive and the pupusas were much better!

Walked into the restaurant at 7:11pm on Monday 02/19/24 - there was only two other people in the restaurant. The younger guy working behind the counter looked extremely annoyed we walked in (there was only three of us) as he checked his phone to see what time it was. We said hello and smiled but he didn’t return any pleasantries. The way he was acting it was as if we had walked in minutes before they closed so we confirmed that they did in fact close at 8pm. We felt so unwelcome that we asked him if it was okay to even order and he very reluctantly said yes. But we just felt so uncomfortable that we decided to turn around and walk out.Wow! Pretty sad. I hope the owner sees this and talks to this young kid. Y’all lost business tonight.

We loved the food here, everything was so delicious and the service was charming. We had the chicharones caseros plato, pupusas, and a chicken tamale, and camerones al ajillo platos. We really liked the variety on the plates, fried yucca, fried plantains, rice, beans and the fried pork chunks were all fantastic. It got very busy around noon!

Prices have skyrocketed here. I had two small empanadas and rice and a coffee and my wife had three papusas and rice. The price ...33 dollars for a small and average meal. We used to go here frequently. We felt ripped off and won't be back.
In town on vacation looking for something different to eat . Food is amazing. Wonderful flavor and so fresh. We had tamales, pupusas and empanadas ? the owner explained everything on the menu to us and made suggestions for us and was just so sweet and pleasant. I absolutely love that everything is gluten free and fresh.. oh I will definitely be back. I 100% recommend a taste of El Salvador.Dietary restrictions: Gluten freeKid-friendliness: Kids menu

The food was authentic, hand-made, and absolutely delicious! We were greeted by Jenny when we arrived, had never eaten El Salvadoran food before, and she gave us excellent advice about what to order for an authentic experience. It is a no-frills restaurant with wonderful food, perfect for lunch. We will be back.

Absolutely the best pupusas in Asheville! They are so welcoming and the food is delicious so the service is the cherry on top! Try the yuca fritas as well, you will be happy you did. I always order the bean and cheese pupusas and the curtido is top notch. It is spicy but the perfect spice if you're used to spicy foods.

Food was authentic and amazing! Definitely try the pupusas!
Pupusas were amazing and fairly priced. Very authentic, clearly handmade in the back. Everyone who worked there was kind. Very low frills environment but so worth a visit.
