Extremely slow service. Apparently not enough staff to maintain usual excellent standard! The problem must have been in the kitchen.
We chose to dine at the restaurant located in the Inn mostly for convenience, but I have to say—I was pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely top-notch, with every dish exceeding expectations. Just like our experiences each morning at breakfast, the service was impeccable.
Having eaten at the Inn before we were excited to eat there again however, we ended up extremely disappointed. The crab cake, although delicious flavor was cold. The mushroom risotto was so salty I drank 3 glasses of water and ate only a third. The filet was good and the she crab soup was outstanding. Hardly worth the price we paid, however for the entire meal.
Exceeding my expectations in every way. Truly relaxing dining experience paired with exceptional food
Mario server was wonderful and our food was excellent. The dining room was so beautiful. Can't wait to come back.
The service was absolutely fantastic! The filet is the best I've ever had. The bread basket was underwhelming, and the noise level of the young patrons was not what I was expecting, but that's not the fault of the restaurant. The salad was mediocre, but the desserts and she crab soup were divine. The dining room was very warm, which made me a little sweaty... but overall, a good experience.
The hostess had a problem with our reservation. I had to show my text confirmation to get a table.

Had (another) great time (about our 15th time at the Estate). We stayed two nights and had a suite in the beautiful Inn at Biltmore Estate. The first night we just hung around the Inn and had a great dinner at the Biltmore Estate Dining Room. Elijah was our waiter and he was awesome, very helpful and attentive. My wife needs Gluten Free and they had all kinds of options and were very helpful. Breakfast the next morning (and Wednesday) was the same way, many options for her. Andrea was our server at breakfast both days and was fabulous. I did the buffet and the omelet that was made for me was awesome!
Dietary restrictions: Have many Gluten Free options and the servers will work with you and help!

Very bougie. Fine dining experience, with the price.
Kid-friendliness: This is not really a kid place.

We very much appreciated the courtesy and care with which every single staff member treated us. My husband loved every single dish he ordered. I am vegetarian and would have loved to see more options than just one. Even the one that they have, the tri-color cauliflower - it was excellent the first day but on second day, it was just boiled cauliflowers and had no taste. The pasta dish on another night was quite good. In my experience, few American restaurants serve a tasty vegetarian dish but few that do, are superb. Perhaps try another recipe? The breakfast was always more than excellent. Lots of choices. We always ordered from the menu and everything tasted great. Overall we had wonderful experience. Unfortunately, Helene hit NC during our week at the Biltmore Inn. During these devastating times, the staff was still always very pleasant and courteous - even though they weren't able to go home and must have had many things on their minds. Even when the hotel converted to Shelter, the food was, while all cold, really wonderful. This was a wonderful experience for us in every way, in terms of the overall staff, meals as well as ambiance. Definitely something to be experienced at least once. This was our first stay at the Inn and second visit to the Biltmore House.
Service was top-notch without being stuffy. Food quality was among the best we've experienced anywhere in the US. The crab cake appetizer was the best we'd had anywhere. The lamb rack, the meat for which is produced on Biltmore Farms, was particularly delicious. Desserts were delicious; the tiramisu was the best we had ever eaten. It certainly didn't hurt that we sat by a window with a view of the distant Blue Ridge mountains.
For the most part the meal was excellent with the exception of the duck. We all tried it and agreed it was horrible. Service by Jonathan was good though he had too many tables to attend to and there were gaps in his availability to us because he had to attend to other tables. Was surprised there wasn't a sommelier available.
Amazing food. Amazing ambience. Amazing experience. Jonathan is one of the best waiters we have ever experienced. His ability to listen, match the energy of his guests, and create a memorable experience really distinguishes your restaurant.
We requested a window table - there were 6 open when we arrived. We were seated as far as possible from a window. Food- my husband had the she crab soup, salmon (6oz) and creme brulee. I had the she crab soup and caesar salad plus ganache dessert. We had water and coffee. Bill was $148. Plus a $30 tip. Soup was average. No sherry - but a strange sweet jam. Salmon was tiny. Salad had kale and was just a salad. Desserts were not very good. Wouldn't return
