This place has long been recommended but it took me a while to visit. Big mistake! It's as hardy and delicious as the hype suggests. Highly recommend!
I ordered one of your Bologna sandwiches today. I could not pick it up. I could not cut it. It all crumbled and fell off the plate into the floor it's the worst breakfast i've ever had
I almost didn’t go ask there was a line out the door but I’m very glad i did. Excellent food and a jam bar! Would love to come back and come again.
This café provides great food, prices, and their counter-service staff are nice. They have a condiment bar with a wide variety of their own jellies and hot sauces. * The Full-Breakfast platter (fried chicken, biscuit, eggs & home-fries), costs $12. It is excellent. Their fried chicken thigh is amazing. It is huge, juicy and piping hot with a delicious crunchy coating. * We love their huge (bigger than a cat’s head), moist, buttery drop-biscuits. * Their 1-biscuit with a side of pulled pork cost $7. The biscuit works well with pulled pork, but the pork was not as good as many BBQ restaurants.
Had a chicken and poached egg biscuit. Both those elements were a little overcooked and dry, so overall the meal was just ok. Staff was friendly and vibe was laid back. Enjoyed my mimosa. The biscuits were large and fluffy, and the jam bar had a nice variety of tasty jams.
Pretty delicious egg benny
Biscuit Head has acquired a lofty reputation since it opened its doors more than a decade ago, and it was only a matter of time before we ended up here to see if it lived up to the hype. One drawback to said reputation: it gets busy, and it gets loud. Best try to catch them during an off-peak hour and hope that you can snag an open table.
That caveat aside, the menu is great. You can keep it simple with a biscuit and your choice of topping, roll the dice with a biscuit sandwich, or step up and take on a gut-busting breakfast platter. There are also sweet dishes and a bar full of complimentary jams.
My wife and I went with the biscuit of the day (Korean fried chicken), a biscuit with mushroom gravy, fried green tomatoes, and a side of bacon. The biscuits were good, but if you get them in a sandwich, don’t expect the sandwich to hold together. No matter: forks exist for a reason. The Korean fried chicken included both Korean BBQ sauce and pimento cheese, an interesting fusion of Asian and Southern that somehow worked. The accompanying tots were crispy and addictive, and the mushroom gravy was creamy and rich. The fried green tomatoes were respectable but would have been better topped with pimento.
Ultimately, Biscuit Head did not disappoint. The biscuits weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but the food here was still satisfying.

An Asheville staple that I’ve been visiting for years. This place is amazing, no matter what you get. Food came out quickly. I love that they have a condiments bar with different jams and butters. Mostly indoor seating with a few tables in the back. You do have to pay for parking in their back lot unfortunately.

Hands down, these are some of the best biscuits I've ever had! They're large, fluffy, and incredibly soft on the inside. Biscuit Head is a must visit if you're in the area and craving a fun, lively breakfast spot. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. What truly impressed me was their wide variety of house made jams! They have jam stations where customers can mix and match, trying different flavors on their biscuits. I highly recommend the raspberry, peach rosemary, and mango chili jams; but they're all fantastic! I loved them so much that I bought a few bottles to take home.
The restaurant itself is spacious, with seating options for large groups or just a party of two. There's also a charming outdoor patio with picnic-style tables, perfect for a cool spring morning.

Unfortunately, we didn’t try Biscuits Heads until the second to last day of our trip. Delicious biscuits, tons of options to choose from. The Berry Bomb jam stole the show, had to get a jar to bring home with us. Fried green tomatoes were must try as well.

Excellent biscuits, but that jam bar!! Great service, tasty coffee, and grits that are to die for. Great West Asheville location, so save some time afterwards to walk off that breakfast by heading to some local shops.

Some of the best biscuits we have ever had and you can’t beat the jam bar, so many fun combinations. Prices were very reasonable and you can tell they take pride in the quality of their food.
