Black Bear BBQ provided the best food for our wedding day. We originally booked with them because they somehow make truly delicious pulled pork AND vegetarian pulled jackfruit, AND a superb kale salad, AND to die for cornbread. And I'm very grateful we did, because not only were they extremely flexible when our guest count reduced after the hurricane, but they also went above and beyond to make sure our food was delicious even though they were dealing with water shortages and recovering from the hurricane themselves. Highly recommend for anyone who is a fan of delicious food and nice people!

AJ and his team served the absolute best wedding food I have ever had! My guests and family were raving about it after our wedding! I loved I was able to pick and choose the items and the amount. AJ helped me get enough food based on the number of guests. The Brisket Burnt Ends are to die for!!! They came and set the buffet up during my cocktail hour and the transition to the food was seamless. I cannot recommend them enough for your wedding or event! I wish we lived closer to Asheville because I would get their food all the time!

We absolutely had to get some Carolina BBQ before we left town. I'm glad we chose Black Bear. The pulled pork sandwich was perfect. Good variety of sauce options, but as we're in Carolina I chose the vinegar sauce. Perfection. Lots of options for sides. We were happy with everything on our plates. Highly recommend.
Hands down the best vegan BBQ I’ve ever had. Vegan options are clearly marked with a carrot and staff is very knowledgeable, the soy “chicken” and pulled jackfruit were both outstanding and you’ll have plenty of sides to choose from. They also have a hot sauce bar with local sauces.

I got married on June 7, 2024. Black Bear BBQ was my catering company. They were absolutely wonderful! The communication was on point. They were accommodating when I made last minute changes (realized I forgot to order non-alcoholic beverages- yikes). The food was really, really, really good- I got compliments all night long. I had to worry about exactly nothing. I even had issues with paying the invoice (and didn't realize that my payment had not gone through) and they handled the snafu with the utmost grace. Highly recommend!
Great BBQ! Nice staff, and great service, at a fair price. We ordered pulled pork and ribs. Both were great! We just had cole slaw as a side. Also good. They have lots of nice plants inside as well.

The food was horrible ? We paid almost $80 for a Family Feast and the amount of food they give you is not enough for a family of 4. The cornbread was dry. The pulled pork was mushy. When we pulled the chicken apart grease came pouring out and parts of it didn't look done. The macaroni was unseasoned. The only good things were the baked, green beans and sweet ice tea ??♀️ The cashier was nice and the restaurant was quite.
