It was awesome until the first song played was bashing our president. I will not go back.
First time coming here for a comedy show. Nice open space in the main part with a cozy spot in the back for the show. Staff seemed friendly. Biggest down side was lack of on street parking close by with December wind gusts blowing through the streets. Lol would attend again.
Amazing place. Band playing on Monday. Very good beer. Sensational service
We had a few beers here and then walked to other breweries. There is a lot of nice places to drink and eat around this area.
It had been a couple of years since we visited Catawba Brewing on South Slope. Parking is a challenge so we used the parking lot across the street with a mobile app. That made it less stressful and worth the $2.50 hr. We thoroughly enjoyed their ESB microbrew. Plenty of space in large brewery both indoor and patio. A nice variety of beers.
I have nothing bad to say about the place, but nothing good. I think after awhile all the breweries seem the same. Staff was kind and friendly. It was very spacious as well. Not a huge fan of having a water station though
Been hitting the Asheville breweries all weekend, the Carolina POG IPA at Catawba is the best so far.
Perfectly fine beer. Mild-mannered staff. There are other and better “must go’s” in Asheville.
First time here. Last time I was in town the place was closed for an employees only function, so glad I got to visit this time. Had the white zombie and new POG hazy IPA; both were very good for their style. I like the mojo of the place as well. Brewtender was very friendly. I’ll definitely be back when making the South Slope rounds.
Good beer even better customer service. I can’t thank you enough for your welcoming hospitality. We’ll be back just not soon enough.

great brewery
Stuck here in Asheville with a broken down vehicle. Completely unexpected, this bar has let us hang out for multiple hours, even though we don’t smell great, aren’t showered, and have our young dog with us (she is might behaved though). The bartender offered us a drink for our troubles since we were sincere. Couldn’t have spent multiple hours here in this town on the current budget I’m on, but they made it work, even though our asks weren’t necessary they still helped up our…thank you Catawba Berwery! We will tell your story and how thankful we are for yall! Aaron and Sierra out of Clayton, NC
Came up to see the Friday night comedy show with Cy Amundson. Was there for both shows, and they were great. All the comics were great, and the atmosphere was awesome. Very inviting. Smaller space around 50 or so each show.Cy killed it in my book and got to meet him after the show. Modelface Comedy put on a great show. Joe Zimmerman even dropped in as a special guest. Not on the bill, so that was cool. If you like stand-up comedy, please check out Modelface's website. I'm am, however, solber and can't tell you about the beer. Sorry. Parking is right across the street.Very convenient. Love this place, and I will be coming back!
Beer is tasty. Nice place to stop when you are brewery hopping.
White zombie is one of the best. Nice mountain views here too
