This is my favorite spot for cake doughnuts in town. Asheville definitely has a great food scene and it’s nice to see this place exist within that!They have good coffee options as well in case you like to dunk your cake doughnuts like me!The location is fun since it’s walkable to everything else in the downtown scene. If you haven’t tried Vortex you should definitely give it a shot (and then multiple after that).
One of the best donuts I’ve had. The old fashioned is literally a top tier donut. The salted caramel was also amazing. Lots of seating available. Parking out front too. Lots of coffee and other drinks available. Definitely add to the list if you are visiting or want to try a new donut.

Whenever we head to Asheville, Vortex is a must! Their donuts are the best I've ever had and it's a bonus that most are vegan. Everything is clearly labeled and the employees are very friendly and helpful.
