We have lived here for years and have failed to stop. Well today we stopped and so glad we did. We had the chicken, cabbage and special salad. So delicious!

Jamaican food made with love. I feel like I’m back in the Caribbean, enjoying its vibrant culture and appreciating its wonderful people. Limited menu means the food is made fresh and delicious every time. A gem of a food establishment.

Charlie Kings Jamaican food is 10/10! He cut the plantain fresh to fry. It was a ton of food and the taste of everything is on point! Definitely gonna be a stop more often

Food was great !! First time today. I got the jerk chicken with fried plantains and Jamaican rice. met Charlie he seemed like a really nice guy and his cooking spoke for itself!

Have gone a few times to get a good sense of the menu. The owner is really nice and the jerk chicken and pork is certainly their stars. Didn't find the curry or oxtail as great as spices and aromatics seem to fall flat. The rice & peas didnt taste fresh this round, felt mushy. A jerk chicken and oxtail with 2 sides was over $55 with tip, seems high for a dinner for 2 considering its a walk up trailer at a gas station. Would go again for the jerk, but not as regularly as I hoped.

Amazing food and service. I picked it up jerk chicken for dinner, it smelled so good in my car I couldn't wait for dinner to have a try. Great portions and enough for two meals. I was having a challenging day and Charley King turned that around.

Authentic Caribbean food, made from scratch. Everything I tried was great and some of dishes, with a hint of flare and a unique flavor compound. Own an operator by Mr. King himself. Definitely should come by and enjoy some island flavor everything Irie.

The most amazing food! The jerk is incredible, and the sides are so amazing too. I can’t believe we’re so lucky to have this place in Asheville! Thanks Charlie!
