Daddy Mac's Down Home Dive

Took my 17 year old here for her birthday dinner. The food is so good ! I loved the brisket Rueben, and the Mac and cheese was amazing. We were super excited to get a fire table outside but the server said the manager had to light it for us and that he would be by soon, however we were there well over an hour and he never came to light it . I will say that they were very busy and it wasn’t a huge deal but we were admittingly a little bummed since it was getting a little chilly out and we wanted to hang out longer and I wanted to try some drinks, but it got a little too cold without the fire so had to cut our time short . Had we known it wouldn’t be lit we would have chosen indoor seating .

We just left and it was not what I was expecting. Their page made it look so good, the atmosphere is amazing. Would be a good place to drink at. But the food :( I ordered smoked wings, there was zero smoked flavor but they were smoked dry and crispy… . And she did ask how things were, when my plate only had the chips ate, I’m obviously saying it’s ok to be polite. Look at the plate and know something is wrong. My husband had the brisket Mac cheese. He said it was gross. The brisket tasted like it was just cooked in ketchup. I’m pretty disappointed.

My entire order was wrong. they only gave me queso instead of beer cheese, didn't give all the stuff advertised for pimento cheese. Too expensive to have that many problems and inedible for me. I do not recommend you eat here.

Mike, @Bar Service was great. Eggrolls were yummy and the drinks were perfect. I'm pretty sure he has eagle eyes and a keen sense of who is really who. Can't wait to go back and enjoy more.

Wanted to try a local place while I'm the area visiting Biltmore. This place has a cool atmosphere but food and service could have been better. Cold food and service was slow and not very attentive.

This was my first time ordering from this place and I was ordering takeout. The waitress Mary was one of the friendliest and sweetest people i have met in the food industry. I absolutely will be back to eat in! Also the live music gave a warm welcome. Food was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!
