Daddy Mac's Down Home Dive

we stopped by passing through on our way back home in the mountains and so glad we did! amazing food and atmosphere and our server Tim was awesome and very welcoming. he even went out of his way to pick up our babies toy that he dropped so we didn't have to stop eating, which as parents is just truly heart warming. the bartender made us great drinks too and even made us something not on the menu. plus $1 jello shots?! can't beat it 😌 10/10 can't wait to come back our next trip out of town

Had our first experience today at Daddy Mac’s. Me and the lady split the Daddy Mac and it did not disappoint. It was nice getting to try the majority of the menu. Also, Tim went out of his way to make conversation with us and took extra special care of us. We can’t wait to come back

We were visiting from Tennessee this week and ate here! Excellent food and staff! Rayenne was a super waitress! We will visit there again!

Great food, relaxed atmosphere. Food was awesome. Tater tots were amazing. Ranch was amazing. For the love of all things holy... don't dip your tater tots in the ranch.

Stopped by to eat with my family passing through Asheville. We really loved the sliders and the mac n cheese. We came close to shift change, so our server wasn't very attentive at all. However, a manager dropped by our table to help out so we could get back on the road. We will definitely come back by when we have the opportunity!

Cool place, great food, good service! Very typical and tasty food.
The wait time was a bit long, they clearly didn’t know how to manage and organize tables in a speedy manner to optimize flow and wait time. But was still worth it.

Parking: Parking lot onsite free, but small and full when we were there. Street paid parking available as well.

Walked in and there's a 92 sanitation rating at the front entrance. Should've followed my gut and turned around then. Service was slow and the food was unappetizing and over priced.
This place literally gave me diarrhea.

This was a fun restaurant in Asheville. Lots of TVs around the walls with games on. There was a live local band on stage and service was great. We were there about 9 pm on a Friday night and the place was just getting going. Food was good. I had the Brisket burger and my wife had the Burnt ends Mac n cheese.

The food is decent, but this is a big time tourist trap. It’s by no means a true dive, more like primitive “antique” style. They were very understaffed for a Saturday. There were three hosts who were a bit aloof and wrote down our phone number incorrectly which resulted in us having to wait much longer for a table since they didn’t come find us. We had to go ask to check on our spot in line. If you have picky kids/husbands it might be a good choice.

If you’re looking for exceptional food, service, and a very welcoming environment, daddy Mac’s is the place to go. Nick was our server, and he may have been one of the most understanding and helpful servers my partner and I have had in awhile. We had the brisket burger, the chicken and blackberry sauce sliders, and the pimento cheese. The portions were great, and Nick gave us great suggestions. If I had any complaint, it would be it took around 40-45 to get sat, but we were served so fast, it was hardly an issue. If you’re looking for quality food, and exceptional service, this is the place to go.
