Hubby and I liked this restaurant well enough to go twice. That's rare, honestly. We were in Asheville to see the fall scenery, so we booked a hotel on Tunnel Road, as it has good access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We ate the gyro platter on our first evening in town, and it was so good that we decided to try their lunch the next day. I got the "blue plate special" Nana's chicken, and it was super tasty. Hubby got wings, and he enjoyed those also. Service was super good the first evening, and good enough at lunch. Parking is adequate, although the lot was nearly full in the evening.

After our visit to Asheville, at home looking at pictures it reminded me of that delicious Mt. Mitchell meatloaf plate I had and I just had to write about how much we enjoyed eating here! Our waitress was so friendly and helpful to us passerby’s. Good sweet tea and great tasty food! Again, the meatloaf meal was so delicious as it comes! I love brown gravy instead of ketchup and it’s tough to find such a flavorful and moist meatloaf. Also, the hollow noodle spaghetti tasted awesome and was so cheesy. The fried mushrooms were amazing too, juicy and just popped in your mouth! Plenty of parking in the front and in back up the hill. If you are hungry (because it’s a lot of food) and are nearby, I strongly recommend East Village Grill We both had lunch for the next day so it’s two meals!

What an awesome early dinner! We had drinks, which I could have drank so many of them! We had the 6 pc wings and no doubt the best wings I've ever had. Then the real prize...my boneless ribeye! Melt in your mouth delicious!! My date had the 6pcs. Of fried oysters with fries and slaw, everything was so wonderful and our service was on point!

We were staying at the Holiday Inn, also on Tunnel Rd., nearby and chose this place from TripAdvisor for dinner. It was filled with mostly locals and had a full parking lot. We had to park in the higher lot and walk up and down stairs to/from the restaurant. My other half had a large glass of French Moulin de Grassac Chardonnay. I just drank water since I was driving. I had one of the daily specials on the chalkboard near the entry. It was 8 or 9 fried oysters w/ green beans & fried okra (they let me change the 2 recommend sides!). Other half had Traditional Club sandwich w/ sweet potato fries. He also ordered a slice of flourless chocolate cake to go!. Jay, per the receipt, was our mostly attentive server. It was busy so all staff were on the run! Prices were fair, the food was great and served exactly as ordered, service was friendly, and there was NO credit card penalty so I left a generous tip! Note: This restaurant does NOT charge a credit card fee. Those that do are lowering the demand for those who use credit cards. Credit card users tend to spend more and tip better. When a fee is charged for this “convenience”, many people will go elsewhere, spend less, or even deduct the fee from their usual tip amount, which only hurts their hard working staff!. Since most of these places are not chain restaurants, they are only hurting themselves and their employees with these fees. Please charge fair prices to all based on your costs, including inflation, but don’t penalize your best clients with an “inconvenience” surcharge fee. For those that do, it’s time for an Economics lesson! In conclusion, if we're back in the area, especially if staying nearby, this is the top choice for a meal. Also, many places near here suffered damage from last year's floods. This place might have, but I didn't see any remaining signs of such as can be seen when driving in the area. May they be spared from future weather issues caused by such Climate change!

WOW! Great craft beer for $6.50....$5 on Mondays! AMAZING food, the Salmon BLT was incredible and the crinkle cut Sweet Potato fries were the best I ever had. Sit at the bar and maybe you will get lucky and Rachael will be working. Truly an awesome place!

I usually don’t leave reviews for anywhere but….. we have been going there for a while and tonight I decided to try the “You’re Bacon Me Crazy” burger and I just wish I had tried it sooner. The bacon was spot on cooked, the bacon jam delicious, and the ham on it was just as tasty! During our dinner, it filled up fast but our server stopped by to make sure all was ok and that speaks volumes! Try that burger if you are an aficionado of burgers. You will NOT be disappointed!

These folks got ready for a volunteer crew of nearly 20 people from Silverados in less than 30 minutes, many thanks to the staff! The food orders were all accurate and served with a smile. Also, they have my personal favorite IPA on tap from Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. There's a hometown hangout kind of feel to the atmosphere, like my local Pub & Eatery. Come down the mountain to Anderson, SC. We'd be proud to host you. ? #AppalachianStrong

Stay at a private BnB type place a couple miles away. The owner of it introduced a few of us to it last year and I was sold. A great choice to grab a good meal with good service. Has become my favorite in the area when I visit.
