Myself and the family tried a nice Italian restaurant in Asheville, North Carolina. I had the Calabrian Scampi which was good. The wife had the Ragu which was just ok. The daughter had the Burrata Alla Vodka with chicken added. All of us sampled it and loved it. I ordered the Fall Fashioned which was actually good for a none bourbon drinker. The wife ordered the Amalfi Agave and she said it is just ok. (It has a strong lemon flavor). We ordered the ciabatta bread which was a bit hard.

I said we would be back the next time we were in Asheville and tonight was the night. My husband is a hamburger connoisseur + as I hoped, he thought that the Gemelli hamburger š might actually be the best he's ever had.
Tonight I have the ravioli with pistachios and it was divine.
My son had the the Jemelli pasta and said it was very flavorful and hearty and his wife enjoyed the burrata pasta.
Grandkids had spaghetti and meatballs.
We love the artichoke appetizer. Everything was great!

My Fiance & I did Chef Cerratosā (father & son) Feast of the Seven Fishes pre fixe dinner on the 23rd of December. OH MY GOLLY! We agreed that the primo piatto squid ink spaghetti with shrimp & octopus in a cream sauce (garnished with fennel micro greens!) was the best pasta either of us had ever eaten. Without going into detail on each course, every one was outstanding.
Cannot wait for Gemelliās new location (across from the Bohemian Hotel) to open.

I had an unpleasant experience. The manager asked me to remove my water that I had brought from home and went on a long explanation about how it was illegal to bring water into restaurants in the state of NC. This was unnecessary because I did not argue with the initial request and immediately offered to throw away the water. I bring my own water into all other local restaurants without issue.

I canāt rave enough about this restaurant! Gregor was an exceptional serverāfriendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about Italian wines. The chef even customized a dish for my husband that wasnāt on the menu, which was such a special touch. Everything was fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and the wine was outstanding. Weāll absolutely be back!

I just ordered from here for the second time. The first, we ate in, and tonight was to go. Both experiences with the front of the house were stellar. As for the chef, I have never had Italian food this good-ever! This place is my new favorite place to eat. Try the ravioli- you wonāt be disappointed.

The staff is great and the atmosphere is nice, but thereās nothing Italian about this place. I know this is an American-Italian place but itās more 98% American with a couple Italian words. Way too much garlic on everything which Italians donāt do. Food wasnāt authentic in the slightest, not sure where their modifications for Italian dishes came from. Just a tip, from an Italian person. I donāt understand why itās advertised as even slightly italian𤣠but good staff and service!

We ordered focaccia bread, calamari, Caesar salad, vodka pasta, and ragu pasta. The focaccia bread was dense like corn bread with very little flavor. The calamari was a bit chewy but had an okay flavor. The salad was good although the lettuce was a bit bitter, the actual dressing was good. I ordered shrimp with my vodka pasta and it was cooked well with a good sear and a good side however did have some tails still on it. The pasta is cooked al dente but the sauce was flavorless to the point I had to ask for seasonings to put on it which barely helped I ended up barely eating that and we didnāt eat the bread. The ragu was overly salted but had a good base flavor. The manager came to speak with us after our server told him we didnāt like the dishes and was quite rude. He said that we should have said something as it was happening but it took 40+ minutes for our food to come out and we didnāt want to wait that long for additional food. They were steady but not overly busy with over half a dozen tables always open but not enough wait staff. I wouldnāt return and donāt recommend it to others.

Restaurantji Recommends
A lucky find by chance. We wanted Italian cuisine, instead of the brewery food we had for the last two days. Their pasta is homemade every day, which lead to our decision to try it, and it was a great decision. The lasagna was delicious, it had a great flavor, and served with a flavorful vodka sauce. The pasta ala vodka was very good, the portion was large, with a large ball of burrata cheese on top. The side salad with a roasted garlic vinegerett was larger than expected, it was very fresh with heirloom tomatoes and shaved carrots. The tiramisu - one of the best ever we've had, and we've had a lot of them. Our server, Michael, was pleasant and attentive. Don't let the location in a strip center stop you from enjoying this excellent restaurant. Price is very fair, comparable to any Italian restaurant. Atmosphere was very pleasant, quiet, very easy to converse. Highly recommend this venue.

The interior and atmosphere were pleasant, and the service was good.
We ordered the shrimp spaghetti and the risotto with branzino. The pasta was much too spicy, and the risotto had far too many olives and capers. The fish itself was fine, but the arugula served with the risotto was drenched in vinegar ā sour like sorrel.
The pistachio cheesecake with jam was also disappointing and not tasty at all.

Another one in the books!! Well done Gemeliās. As always did not disappoint. Enjoyed all the dishes ordered and introduced new patrons. They were very impressed by the menu options and the fact that seed oil are not used We all will be back. Michael our server was fun, great and very accommodating.

We had a wonderful experience. The food was incredibly delicious and our waiter, Greg, was perhaps the best waiter Iāve ever had. Would definitely recommend reservations- we didnāt have any and ended up sitting on the patio on a chilly evening.
