We have loved Hemingways in the past, but were sadly disappointed on our recent visit. It started when our server brought us water in plastic cups. Drinks from the bar were served in real glasses, thankfully, so why not the water? The menu has been reduced to a few Cuban entres and a handful of sandwiches, two of which are burgers which we can get at any restaurant. I visit Asheville at least once a year. And when I do, I never miss going to Hemingway‘s. I love the food. I love the outdoor terrace, and the service has always been exceptional. Each time I go I introduce a new friend to Hemingway’s and they never fail to visit when they go to Asheville. I have made more wonderful memories here than I can count.
Our waitress (Edith) was great - a natural given she is new:). Good atmosphere (View!) and good food. The blacked Mahi mahi was just a tiny bit overcooked. The Paella and salad were perfect. Will definitely be back!
