Everything about Jerusalem Garden Cafe in Asheville was fantastic. Frank, his wife, and the whole team were genuinely welcoming and made coordinating a large group lunch feel effortless. The space was perfect for our team, the food was superb, and the baklava was sublime. You can tell a lot of heart and soul goes into this place. Highly recommend!

The food was amazing, and the portions were generous! Everyone in our family enjoyed the food and location. It was an easy walk from our downtown rental, highly recommend.

What a wonderful surprise to find a Mediterranean restaurant in Asheville! Such delicious hummus, falafel, babaganoush and GLUTEN FREE PITA!!! We will visit here often! Highly recommend!

For entrees I think they only have a vegan platter and a falafel sandwich, but they also have multiple vegan tapas (that are combined into the platter), so enough choices for me. Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu, and the tapas we tried were delicious! Hummus was very creamy, though I'd order extra pita next time. No vegan dessert.

I popped in for a to-go meal before leaving our mini vacation in downtown Asheville. I ordered the appetizer Muhamarah (Im guessing about 4 or 5 ounces of bell pepper, walnut, pomegranate molasses pureé served with 6 very small pieces house-baked pita) and a side order of 5 very small falafel. I ordered from their website menu, which has no prices. When they told me $27, GEEZ😬! When he handed me the bag of food, it weighed next to nothing, and I double-checked it to make sure it was the correct order. I got in the car and started b!tching and moaning about how I just dropped $30 (tip included) on this TINY amount of food. I ate the falafel first- light and airy without the strong, dirty undertone that I find in many other restaurant's falafel. It comes with tzatziki sauce, which I tossed. Next, the Muhamara. Decadent deliciousness! This was simply the most fabulous food I ate during our visit in Asheville, and we ate at a lot of fine food restaurants! And ya know what? I was stuffed without even finishing it! I still have some to take home😊. I now feel completely fine with spending $30 for this, knowing that Asheville is hurting terribly for tourism dollars since Hurricaine Helene. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-03

Jerusalem Garden Café was hands down some of the best food I’ve had in Asheville. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The service was just as impressive — Keenan took great care of us and made the experience even better. If you’re in Asheville and craving Mediterranean or Middle Eastern cuisine, this spot is a must.

Food was decent, but a little pricey for what you get. Portions are pretty small and quality is alright. They could improve their customer service. Overall, it was decent but probably won’t go again.

Jerusalem Garden Cafe offers a delightful experience with its authentic Israeli cuisine and beautiful, artful creations.

Classic dishes, my fav is the Wagyu beef kabobs… juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The yellow rice and gluten-free pita bread pair perfectly with their rich, creamy hummus.

Recommendation to order the bacon-wrapped dates; they’re an indulgent treat.

Generous portion sizes ensure you leave satisfied.
The menu caters to everyone, with fantastic gluten-free and vegan options.

Jerusalem Garden Cafe impresses with freshness and quality.

Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Israeli dishes with thoughtful dietary accommodations.

Advertised 29.99 three skewer dinner and charged 49.99. They said the other price was wrong oh well. The dinner was not even listed on their menu. Three skewers! 49.99! Outrageous! Extra for sauce too!
What a rip! The gyro platter was bad too nothing in the inside but lettuce and the side was cold flavorless. We will never go there again.

Bring your kids! Sit in the back and build pillow forts, then share their huge and perfectly-seasoned platters. Their grape leaf rolls are very lightly fried for a little crisp? Incredible. One of the few places in town that can actually cook a thick chunk of salmon, too. I know you don’t generally go to a Mediterranean restaurant for a slab of grilled salmon but boy can they turn out a good piece of fish.
