Delicious food, great service. Curry Chicken was delicious!
Ordered biryani..... very disappointed... not freshly made..... super old stock. We found large chunks of dried out rice.. hard as rock. Never going back there again...
We saw the Kathmandu Kitchen and decided to try Chicken Momos. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant was amazing. It was a quite and nice restaurant. They only do takeout no seating is allowed. We ordered Chicken Momos from the menu. We got our order in 15-20 mins. The momos was amazing and delicious. We loved our food and it was freshly made and hot.
We ordered Biryani. It was bland and oily. Serving size was really small. All that and we were made to wait at least 40 mins for our order. If not for the nice staff working there, the place wouldn't even deserve the 2 stars.
These so called Indian restaurants never disappoint me. They are consistently bad all over this country and just compete with each other to see which is the worst. I am from India and every once in a while I get this pang for restaurant Indian food and inspite of knowing it will be terrible, I end up ordering it or visiting the place. This was my second time at this place in 4 years and they were consistently bad. The name suggest that there is a Nepalese connection and Nepali owned / managed restaurants tend to be better than those owned / managed by North Indians. Not this one. The paratha was seriously undercooked, the biryani was an excuse for a biryani and did not come with raita as is normal and the aloo gobi was the typical odd looking gravy that is cooked in vats in the morning. These Indian restaurants continue to hoodwink the ignorant Americans and are a shame on the Indian cuisine.
MAY 23,2021 They are open for take out only even though this is not posted on the website. We drove about an hour just for real authentic food from Nepal. We found a park bench down the street to set and eat. The food was what we expected and very good but they should not advertise that they are open for dine-in.
I did not like the food. If you are looking for Indian food then this is not the place. I ordered tandoori chicken but I don't know what they gave me, it was boneless and I have never seen boneless tandoori chicken with small pieces. I think any other place would be better that this. The vegetable biryani was also horrible. This place does not know how to cook.
Thank you, MR Louis, for helping with my profits and making my fifth withdrawal possible. I'm here to share an amazing life changing opportunity with you. its called binary trading options. it is a highly lucrative business which can earn you as much as $6,000 from an initial investment of just $500. I am living proof of this great business opportunity. If anyone is interested notify him at
We did take out our dinner.Samosa: 2 stars. Felt there was only potatoes and turmeric without any spices.Veg noodles: 3.5 stars. it was good, similar to Hakka noodle that we like. We ordered medium spicy but it felt like very spicy.Gobi Manchuria: 4 stars. was delicious.Wish there was kids menu.
This is my first time in this restaurant. We tried biryanis last night and that is a one of worst biryani we ever had. That’s not basmati, I don’t know what kind of rice is that. Only had one bite .Zero ⭐️

nepalese food, mmm, so tasty. quick, helpful, and friendly service.
For almost 4 years my young adult daughters and I eat here. We have loved it every time-And have dined in at least 5 times and this last time a carry out due to Covid. The family/staff that own it are extremely conscientious and the food is delicious. They pay attention to detail and are fair. Last time we tipped them cash and accidentally put a tip on credit card bill, however they caught the mishap and did not charge twice for tip. We will continue to frequent this one of a kind gem with authentic food that we love.
Ordered food, food was delivered, food was delivered in utter chaotic condition! Looked like the food was thrown to the ground at our door (check out the pic). Cannot contact the delivery service "Takeout Central," because they left for the day before their drivers were done delivering. Haven't tried the food so apologies for the preemptive two star rating but frothing at the mouth tends to persuade me to speak up and out. I will update once we actually try the food. Currently: NOT SATISFIED NOTE TO THE PROPRIETOR: I would recommend changing the delivery service before business goes south.
I actually give this 3.5 Stars. In the COVID climate I have tried to err on the side of being more fair in reviews I leave but I still found myself wanting a better meal here despite it being takeout only and not at all busy. I have had far better Indian food in other cities but this is one of the better ones I have experienced in Asheville. A touch on the pricey side though. I cant speak about 'dining in' but the takeaway service was friendly and easy.
fantastic meals, one of my favorite places to order from downtown. Love the tandoori chicken
