We had a lovely visit here last evening while briefly in the area. They are doing alright after the terrible hurricane thankfully!!!!! Over the years this has been our favorite go to spot and yesterday was no different. Food very tasty, plentiful, feel is a positive price point. I personally can be a bit picky about barbecue, I really don’t care for excessive fat in my meat and I find the brisket is perfectly lean!! 2 employees who are new to us as we haven’t been back in two years, Ian and Sheryl were very pleasant, smiles on their faces, communicative, and remained diligent in providing great service. They have had some updates on their menu, not as many side choice selections but the ones we all chose were most appetizing! I do miss the pineapple casserole side and was told its available on the menu in the fall. Spouse also feels their beer selection is great. They were all out of the popular homemade banana and wafer pudding, but just gives us something to look forward to during our next visit as we will absolutely continue to eat here. Positive all around! Tasty, clean, and lovely folks all working inside thank you thank you!

Food was super salty for me, and the bartender was super rude. I would have recommended this place because not everything we had was bad, but since the bartender was quick to PUSH us out, I wouldn’t recommend them at all. They can’t handle honesty. First impressions make the last impression.

Meats came out cold, lights flickering so much it caused a headache. The collards were great, but in general was not worth the exorbitant pricing

Loved this place, dont know what happened but its a shadow of its former self. Smaller portions/quality isnt there.

Update: had to change my score from a 5 to a 3 star which breaks my heart. The lunches are no longer a good deal, the prices increased immensely! And when I asked the young man at the counter when they went up so much, he was rude and said they were always this way. When I pointed out not but a few months ago I had the same meal for almost half the price… he then admitted he had only worked there 3 months. What a rude response when you know you just started working there, basically make me question my own sanity for a moment? Either way, won’t be going again. I hope they fix things but I’m definitely bummed.

This is one of the best deals you can get in Biltmore Park! I work at a spa nearby and I rely on this place for affordable, yummy and filling lunches!

Vegetarian options: My vegetarian friends never have a hard time filling up on yummy sides

Parking: It is super easy to park and maneuver around Biltmore Park, much easier than downtown.

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly foods and unpretentious

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to the entrance

With some work this place could be good. $7 for a plain potato that was cold the butter wouldn’t melt on it. The ribs were tough. The burnt ends weren’t made of the right cut of the brisket for burnt ends. The “side” of stew was like a sauce cup with 5 tiny bites of stew. We did tip even though it is a fast service restaurant, yet no one came around for refills on drinks. Disappointing

The portion sizes are just disrespectful for the amount of money I had to fork out for this meal. The food was cold and tasted left out. Did I piss someone off over there?

ordered food online, ordered at 1:01 pm and got my order at 2:17 and I'm not 15 minutes from the restaurant, food portions are much smaller and food was cold, don't think I'll be ordering again a side from delivery fees and tip it was not worth the wait or the money I spent
