I ordered a fried chicken burrito the toppings for the burrito were good I especially like the pickled onions the only problem was the fried chicken was literally chicken nuggets... Very strange... It wouldn't have been a problem if they were chopped up but they were left in nugget form and stuck on the burrito. My husband ordered the ground beef burrito and he said it was bland and very greasy. Not sure I'd go back just wanted to warn people.

The soggiest birria tacos I have ever had and I’ve tried from a lot of places, they had no firmness or crunch and fall apart in 1 second. On the inside and outside you could just feel how soggy they were! The packaging was a complete mess, honestly abysmal. Just trying to take the tacos out of the foil, they had oil all over the outside and it was a mess, it fell apart and fell on me just trying to take it out.. and the tacos were put in the chip bag so everything was just an oily mess, there was no care put into this food. 2/3 of the staff I spoke to were very rude, customers should be able to ask a simple question. The plantains were very good, the horchata was okay, overall you’re not missing out on anything if you don’t go here. The only reason it’s not 1 star is because the one normal staff member we spoke to was very nice. If you like Birria, you’re better off getting the pack from Trader Joe’s than this place honestly

Overpriced for what it is when you can get just as good if not better from one of the trucks like the one in West Asheville in the roadway inn parking lot that are always $3 and the staff actually acts like they appericate your business instead of seeming like they are being irritated by you simply trying to order and not telling you till your paying that the sour cream is additional cost for the taco Tuesday special that you had to remind the cashier when she tells you $30 for 4 soft street tacos.. I'll just have to let them keep raping the hipsters yuppies squares and wealthy Asheville residents bc I understand the dynamic but cannot participate as the mark....

I have serious food sensitivities and I was very disappointed the there was no one taking food orders that spoke enough English to answer a single question that I asked, such as, is it gluten free? Even when I tried to explain what that meant, no one understood or could tell me anything able the food I was trying to order. I asked what was the shrimp cooked with and the server said, "it's a sauce, a sauce".

Place was busy but the staff was cranking! Guy was immediately friendly and nice when first getting to the window! All the staff was nice and working hard! They made the tortillas fresh in front of you as well as cooked the meat to order! Excellent set up and by the time you pay your drink is ready at the bar! The quality, flavor and portions of the food are incredible, I ordered three tacos but next time will get two they are that well packed! Excellent experience here! If you need to eat before going to the Orange Peel this is convenient also!
Vegetarian options: All sorts of options and fillings for vegetarians and vegans as well! Highly recommend

It was hard to communicate to the staff what I wanted in my burrito bowl. Asked for extra rice and beans didn't get it. Then asked for pickle onions and staff member put regular onions on my plate and looked at me funny. Like this is what you're getting. My daughter ordered birria tacos which she said was super greasy and tasted like roast beef. No favor, bland and worse customer service on top of that. A waste of 40 bucks

Stopped by to pick up dinner on a Sunday night when we were visiting Asheville. The food was great! We got birria taco, ground beef taco, steak burrito and chips and queso. It was plenty of food for two and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend and plan to return. The guacamole was very flavorful, salsas were fresh, meats were great. Good value for everything we got.

I've ordered catering from Mamacitas a few times and it's been excellent every time. It's all packed up well and it's delicious. Everyone at the event loves it and wants to know where we got it, so I tell them. If you want a taco bar catered, Mamacitas is the way to go!
