Joined a friend for breakfast at the Med. Waited about an hour to get a seat, and while waiting, got in trouble (over-shopped) at the amazing store next door. Make sure that you call ahead and get in the list! I ordered the catfish with collards and potatoes. The catfish was very good and the potatoes were delicious. I think the best (home fries) I've ever had at a restaurant. They give you a generous serving of half sized potatoes. The collards were not my cup of vinegar. Too much vinegar and spine. I dislike the spine included on most leafy veggies. I also had a cup of hot chocolate that was good too. My friend had an omelette and she thought it was okay. I enjoyed my food and would go back when in town.

Excellent friendly service. I had grits with my omelet and they were perfect! The diner is like an old timer diner with booths and a bar. We had 5 people and had to squeeze into a booth. Food was great so it was worth it but something to be aware of if you are a party larger than 4.

A modest diner punching way above its image with delicious scratch made dishes. I’ve had breakfast here many times, this time I went to lunch. I had the biscuits and gravy with fried chicken. Every single element of that was delicious. Best in class.

First time in the Med today and it was fantastic! My new favorite breakfast spot in AVL. There might be a wait to get in on the weekend but it’s worth it. The breakfast ‘salad’ was outstanding as was the catfish and grits dish.

Food was awesome. Service was awesome. We had breakfast. It was very busy when we arrived. They seated us promptly. My wife had the veggie scrambles and I had the royale. They were tasty. The potatoes were very good and crispy. Would eat here again

The food is delicious, comfortable seating, and the staff is welcoming. My #1 breakfast spot in downtown. They have a variety of traditional options infused with the chef's custom flavors. Their sausage patties are made in house then smashed on the grill to order and their biscuits are buttery deliciousness with the perfect amount of crumble. Love this place.

A great local place for breakfast. Get there early as it fills up fast. It's a bit off the busy District in Asheville which is nice. Service was great, food was very good, and it's a nice kind of old-fashioned diner vibe.
