The food is arguably the best in a town (Asheville) full of fabulous restaurants. The recipes and flavors are fabulous. And Bryan the server was excellent.

We went here with a group of 6. Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly, efficient and accommodating. If we lived in Asheville, we would eat here all the time! Simply delicious!!

A bit over priced, the food was excellent, but the cocktails were bland for lack of better words. All in all it was OK, I have definitely had better dining experiences over all, don’t think I will try it again.

The food was wonderful. I would certainly eat there again when in Asheville.

Waiter made terrible recomendations, kebabs were dry and bland. I could've done better at my house for a quarter of the price.

A good mix of standard and unique dishes in the lunch buffet makes Mela’s a good choice for a fast convenient meal in downtown Asheville. Yatin was a great host.

It looks really pretty. Food was not good at all. The gravy and chutney were so sweet. Items were under salted/ undercooked. It was such a disappointment!
The daal was nice and that was all we could eat.

Food and Service were great only 2 small problems. Table for 4 was a bit small. We ordered 3 meals to share and they just about fit on the table. Had we ordered a fourth I don't think there would have been room for it. Also , the counter to the kitchen was stacked with take a way boxes. I'm sure this restaurant does a great take away service, but having all of these boxes in view while I'm eating was not great. They need to find a better way of storing these or only put them out when actually being used. That said I would definitely go to this restaurant again.

Mela always hits just right! We had varying degrees of spice-tolerance in our group, so our server was able to guide our guests through ordering. We had the chicken korma with tender pieces of chicken and a delicious, rich cashew/peanut sauce; a lamb special with a similar sauce as the korma, but a tad more spice, an eggplant dish, and the chicken vindaloo, which our guests asked to be extra spicy. We all loved our dishes! We loved the vegetable somosas too. Our server was professional and attentive. This restaurant has been in Asheville as long as I have, and it never disappoints!

We loved the hospitality and service by Yatin! The restaurant has best masala chai and the mela lamb curry was really good.

The guy who served our table has the bad attitude. He just got us the bill before we can finish our food. He was answering anything we request for like he don’t want us to be there. We just visited it to support local restaurants but it’s too bad from their side. 😒

We were here for dinner 11/28. They can certainly improve on service, after being seated for 10 minutes we had to go to the counter and ask for menu, that's when they realized no one bought us the menu. As For the dish we ordered, Aloo Gobi the pieces where too big and not cooked properly and lacking salt. Gobi had too much stem remaining and not being cooked properly was difficult to chew. However Kulcha, Basmati Rice and the small portion of Dal was just ok. Prices are Reasonable and food quality is Just Mediocre.
