I'm rating the food less than average. Keep in mind that I mean less than average for *Chinese* food in Ashville, which, despite being a foodie's paradise, is a *wasteland* for Chinese food. My "stars" rating applies only to the food.On the other hand, the service could be charitably rated in the negative range. This is carryout, OK? COVID-19 restrictions for 9 months, OK? Everybody is upset, but let's get over it and do the best we can, OK? Doesn't take too much effort to get 4-5 rating for carryout under these conditions. Basic "please and thank you", is worth 4, right? A smile at the beginning and end of the carryout transaction gets a 5!The woman behind the counter was able to score a 0 to -1. One of worst encounters with a retail food person that I've had in *decades* (oh yes, I'm that old, I measure time in terms of decades.) *Rude* is the kindest adjective I can find.I will not buy food at this establishment again until I hear that it's gone out of business and has re-opened under new ownership.

Best Chinese food in Asheville. Kung pao chicken, moo goo gai pan, general tso chicken, jumbo shrimp w lobster sauce, and moo sho pork are my main meals. They are always great and the same. Love metro.

Exceptional and yummy food, I like the character the spot has, and the employees were welcoming. Will definitely visit here next time.

Best Chinese Food in Asheville hands down. I always go out of my way to get takeout from metro- it’s so good!!

Not sure why people are complaining. Our experiences have been quite positive. Tasty and abundant food at very affordable prices. The only downside is that one lady's English is a bit weak and could be interpreted as being rude and/or unhelpful. Because of this, I would have given a 4.5 rating if available, but I decided to round up.. Overall: highly recommend.

This has to be the worst food I have ever bought! The lo mein was bland and the egg rolls were burned black in spots. Don't waste your time or money.

2 stars is generous, kids were hungry and food was warm. Lo mein seemed to be cooked in 3 day oil. Fried rice was a weird orange color and was greasier than the lo mein . Crab Rangoon was basically deep fried dough. Very rude and seemed to get upset when I ask for chili oil. Never will go again.

The chicken wings tasted funny. Maybe the grease. The egg roll was partially burned and flavorless. The Pork with Chinese Vegetables was dumped on top of the rice with no attempt at seperation. Therefore the sauce soaked into the rice, rendering the beef mixture dry and sauceless . The Vegetables were almost raw and devoid of Chinese flavor. Again ,perhaps due to the vanishing sauce. I'm one and done. I won't be back.

I was starving and craving Chinese. This food was inedible. I ordered sesame chicken with white rice, crab Rangoon and spring rolls. It came with an egg roll. NOTHING tasted good other than the white rice and the broccoli. $20 in the trash.

Several of us had takeout last night for dinner. We had general Tsao’s chicken (not flavorful), fried rice (no egg bits, not seasoned enough), egg rolls (crisp but lacking enough filling), plain sticky rice, noodles, fried dumplings (good). No fortune cookies!

They claim they no longer delivery to my house and were very rude

The restaurant did not have any drinks other than in a refrigerator. We didn't know this until after we already paid, and then we were told that we couldn't use a card to buy drinks, but we could go to the grocery store next door to buy a drink.
