Lobster roll so yummy!

My wife and I stopped in while we were visiting Asheville. We were told one of the best seafood places to get some good fish, and they absolutely were! Everyone was super friendly and personable. Definitely stop in and check out their menu since they have specials every day! My wife had red grouper with Parmesan garlic and I had flounder with some hush puppies. We’re excited to go back to Asheville just for this place!

Today we dropped in for lunch at Mother Ocean We chose the Grouper Po Boy. It was absolutely the very best fish sandwich we've ever had in Asheville or anywhere else. The bun was fresh and crispy; a perfect vehicle for the grouper which was perfectly cooked and hot off the press. It was beautiful today and we dined on the patio outside. It was a very generous sammie and you likely will take 1/2 home. You do not want to miss this summer delight...We are in hopes they hold it over. What do you say Sam?? Top notch and hope you get there to enjoy one.

I loved this place!! Amazing. I stepped in out of curiosity because I wasn't sure if it was a sit down or specialty grocer. Well it was both!! I had the catch of the day taco which on that day was swordfish. So delicious- flavor level was super balanced and made my heart smile, swordfish was melt in your mouth & I was full off of the 3 tacos which is truly awesome. They were so good I knew I was leaving with more. I ordered their whitefish salad to go & scallops. If you're like me & have a longer drive home they provide ice which is SO thoughtful. I tried the salad today for lunch & once again the flavoring & seasoning was solid! I'll be back frequently. This will be my go to place for fresh & sushi grade fish & when I'm entertaining friends and family & want them to feel spoiled and special. Don't miss out on them. Marshall who helped me out that day as a 1st time customer was friendly, informative & passes the vibe check with golden standard. ✨

Mother’s Ocean is an amazing seafood market that also serves delicious lunch and dinner. The seafood is incredibly fresh, and you can truly taste the quality in every dish. I highly recommend the fish basket and the salmon salad — both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was great. A wonderful spot for anyone who loves fresh seafood!

First time here while visiting family. Wonderful fresh, vibrant, fare. This is now a destination for all future trips.

We had an amazing experience at Mother Ocean Seafood Market. Everything is reliably fresh, and their seafood is truly outstanding. The clam chowder is excellent, and their in-house specials are absolutely worth the trip - excellent shrimp burger and crab cakes!

We actually drive up from Brevard because you just can’t find seafood this fresh and high-quality back home. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, which makes the experience even better.

On our most recent visit, we tried the green gill oysters—what a treat! We had them raw and then Oyster Rockefeller.

And if they don’t have something in stock, they can usually get it for you since they receive deliveries twice a day.

Highly recommend if you’re anywhere near Asheville!
