We had a fun time sitting at the counter with our sandwiches and milkshakes! Lexi was so sweet and took great care of us. I do agree with other reviews that they could make the experience so much better with old-fashioned uniforms, really play pretend with it! They have something special here, I’d love to see that harnessed.

Such a cute place to stop, a unique time capsule of a place. Enjoy the art and have a chili dog.

I get lunch here pretty often. The food is solid, the people are nice, and the atmosphere is very cute and fun. Great affordable spot downtown. I recommend the caesar salad with a scoop of chicken salad (it might sound crazy but it is tasty).

When people from out of town are looking for somewhere to visit downtown, this is one of three places I recommend. If you are interested in historic landmarks and ALSO are looking for delicious shakes and sandwiches, while also within reach of dozens and dozens of local artists and their work - look no further.

Oozing with nostalgia this is not to be missed for a walk through for the true throwback AVL feel! The staff is super friendly and it's surrounded by a massive art gallery full of awesome items for purchase. Try the Beast Sandwich! You won't be disappointed!

Stepping into The Soda Fountain at Woolworth Walk is like taking a step back in time. The classic decor, friendly staff, and delicious treats transport you to a simpler era. They have the best hot dog in Asheville. Prices are the best downtown, when looking for a quick bite.

Interesting due to the old school vibe. But it's just using a bunch of basic torani flavor syrups.Seems like a place you go to once, and if you like what you get, you could just make it yourself.

Quirky location, friendly service, good food (especially the ice cream sodas!). Fun stop for the family during a day of shopping.

Had lunch with my son and grandson at the Woolworth"s soda fountain. It reminded me of soda fountains I visited when I was younger. The food was good. I had a hot dog, my son had a tuna melt, my grandson had a grilled cheese. All were tasty. The whole place is interesting. Wandering around looking at art pieces is a nice way to escape the crush of people on the sidewalks of Asheville. Nice place.

It was great to find this place inside the Lofts of Woolworth. Ice cream was delicious!! You can also find tables to seat there and look for local art displays.

This is a very nice little place for lunch! Service is excellent. The staff is friendly and the sandwiches are great! We had a BLT and The Big Assed Bologna Sandwich, (BABS). The BABS is an understatement! The load of Bali GMA was almost an inch thick. It was grilled nicely and was fabulous. Likewise with the BLT! It was loaded with bacon with lots of tomato and nice crisp lettuce! This is a nice little place for lunch. I highly recommend it.

So nostalgic! Sat at the counter shortly after they opened at 11am. We sat at the counter and got a first hand look at how well crafted the sandwiches are! Portions are so generous and they use high quality ingredients. I had the curried chicken salad sandwich with a side of pimento cheese and raw veggies. My friend had the breakfast sandwich and a chocolate milkshake. The shake was delicious and was large enough for us to share since they also give you the cup and whatever is left over after they fill the old school milkshake glass. The staff was very hard working and so friendly! Highly recommend this quaint old school lunch counter!
