I love this place!! I'm from New Mexico and have been eating Mexican food all my life, and this place is great. Food is simple, affordable, and delicious! Plus, it's family owned and run, and they are so friendly and accommodating. My daughter decided she is vegetarian and they happily accommodated her, inventing a new Torta (sandwich) on the fly. The dining area is really small, and sometimes you have yo wait for a table, but it's worth it. P.S. the Birria is the best I've ever tasted. Oh, and the tamales next door are to die for.

What more do you want form a taco place? What more can you want from a tamale? So this is really two small shops. On the right is a small tortilla and tamale factory. One the left is a taco shop. Both are worth a visit and in contention for the best Mexican food in Asheville. First the tamales. They are the first tamales I have really loved. Often I find tamales bland. These are delicious. I crave them. The masa is fresh and seasoned. The filling is mildly spicy. Available in chicken and pork. The taco shop has a tiny menu and solid offerings across the board. To me the stewed beef "birria" tacos are the stand outs. I could eat 27 of them. The space is clean and simple. Service is fast. The tacos are served without any sides...not even a roasted jalapeño. So that is it. It is a nice spot for a quick snack like a pre-dinner before going out with your vegan in-laws. If you want a more elaborate taco, I recommend the Mexican grocery on the other side of Patton. So come get some tamale and tacos and tortilla and feel like a king.

I went to the gym nearby and decided to stop for tamales next door. I was so surprised, it's the best tamales I've tasted in Asheville. The women there are making the masa in front of you and you can tell everything is authentic. I had the pork and the chicken and the pork was my favorite. They weren't empty like I've had in other locations. I cant wait to have them again when I go back to Asheville. I wish I would have tried to the tacos in the restaurant that it was connected to but it was closed the day that I went.

Tamales are one of my favorite foods. So happy to have found somewhere I can get a quick tamale fix. I was super thrilled they open before your typical lunch hours as I was too early to find lunch anywhere else and have always been meaning to stop by and check this place out.I got one pork and one chicken tamale. They have them store in a cooler to keep them warm and fresh. And bag them up for you. It is definitely a pick and go type of place but I couldnt wait and ate them in my car. Great flavor and texture. So happy to have tried it! I will be back for sure.

My wife and I just went. We had chicken tamales, plus chicken and asada tacos. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. Sauces, tortilla, meats were all wonderful. We will be back soon.

Small burrito for $10. Meat was alright, but not enough seasoning, boring. No salsa bar! Small salsa containers that u have to ask for more. You should never make customers have to get up and walk over to ask - they end up not doing it and it is reflected in how they enjoy the experience. Also, spend five minutes decorating the place please. Go to Tienda up the rd. 34 New Leicester Hwy Ste A & B, Asheville, NC 28806Or here for really good stuff:Tienda El Quetzal150b Weaverville Rd, Asheville, NC 28804I’m from L.A and know Good mex food and demand it.

Can only review the tamales and tortillas as that's what we've enjoyed from this wonderful little store... Know this... The tamales and tortillas were in the top five of any we have ever enjoyed... And we are picky being from Los Angeles AND a lifetime of enjoying some of the best home cooked Mexican food in the world! Tamaleria Y Tortilleria Molina is the REAL DEAL!

They have a smaller menu than most, but that just makes their food that much better. Amazing! Best veggie burrito in town if you love guacamole, you just have to tell them you don't want meat. AND! The tortilla is actually put on the flat top griddle so it gets toasty, and tastes a million times better than lifeless gooey tortillas from Chipotle. I loved the green salsa served with the burrito, nice amount of spice and very limey. I got a veggie burrito and a bottle of Squirt for under $11. The guy in line before me got a birria taco, and a nice quesadilla and paid about $7.The value is great here! It is located right behind the tortilleria.

This place has horrible hours, they close way too early, then advertise they close later and when you go they are always closed early, smh horrible. Anyways BUD the fact that yall put up signs saying that yall close at 7 on Fridays and Saturdays and then don’t honer those hours speaks a lot about the business, the fact yall get there at 3-4AM has nothing too do with the hours you sell food. Two separate businesses.
