This is not a tourist trap fusion/ artsy taco place but if you want delicious authentic Mexican food it's is a hidden gem.. Little hole in the wall restaurant with great tacos, tamales, sopes and auga fresca.

While I always enjoy the tacos and especially the salsa I do not appreciate places that do not serve free tap water. Please just add a self service jug that patrons can grab. Tap water is safe in the US and it should not be an option removed from us. Also for dine in customers please use reusable utensils. Plastic waste is not the norm especially in Asheville. This business has been here a while in the area so they can start adapting to US standards at this point.

Tacos are meh, staff was rude and condescending except for the cook he was the best part about this establishment. Service staff needs to remember the word “service” to create a better atmosphere for this establishment. The Gorditas were ok, I asked for “Cachete” it’s how it was written in the “English” menu. Costumer is always right brochacho. Ponte las pilas.Tortillas were pretty alright! Will probably not come back, would highly recommend to all my Anglo friends. Agua Fresca was not bad either.

So yummy! Being born and raised in San Diego, California has developed my taste buds to be very particular when it comes to Mexican food. My husband and I are big on street tacos, so naturally that is what we ordered. We tried the Pastor, Asada, Chicken, and Carnitas which were all delicious. I also ordered a side of rice and beans, very good. The salsa bar was fresh and on point. The staff were prompt and polite. We just moved to the area and are soooooo happy to find a place locally to get our fix!
I got two tacos pastor and they were delicious! I also hadn’t realized that the restaurant is connected to a mini grocery store store and that I assume is run by them as well. The seating was cute and over all the place gave a bustle positive vibe. Can’t wait to go try more foods!

I went on a Wednesday almost at 1 in the afternoon, it was a little full, even so they served us quickly, the boy who cleans tables is super friendly, everything was very good.

I was really excited for the new location to open as it's right by my work. After trying a few different things now I'm just excited to drive right past it. Even for Asheville, it's really bland. I'm sure the locals will be thrilled with it, but having lived next to Mexico for fifteen years I can't even avoid being homesick with a decent taco, burrito, or tamale which is super basic Mexican food. Tacos blow out before you can finish them, the pork was just chopped chunks of dry pork, those weak tortillas tasted like they were half flour. The burritos are garbage, there's more cheese than anything else and it literally doesn't taste like anything. The tamales are just a joke. Asheville 4.5 stars, anywhere else 1.5.
