This is the most authentic Mexican restaurant that i’ve been to. If you’re the average American looking to get Mexican food with “chips and dip” prior to ordering, look elsewhere. No chips or salsa was provided. They do not have sweet tea, it is only bottled or can drinks. The tacos were good. The atmosphere was mediocre. We took a road trip and thought downtown ashville would be a fun place to go. It was definitely not. It was kind of gross. Gross like someone's dirty underwear was right in the middle of the sidewalk. We were hungry but none of us wanted to eat somewhere so filthy. So we looked for somewhere a little out of there. This place saved the day. It was delicious and a great environment. Authentic and great people.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Asheville. Superior tortillas. Delicious, authentic street tacos and huge platillos. They say what they are and are what they say with no pretentious Asheville bullshit. I take my favorite people here. If you don’t like it here we can’t be friends. My favorite order: 2 tacos de langua, 1 taco de chicharron and horchata. It’s kind and f a turn and burn in Asheville so the service will not be warm, but it’s prompt.
