We ordered a ice cream cake from this location and pickup was downtown Asheville....absolutely worth the price. It was some of the freshest ice cream I have ever tasted. The service was outstanding...Greg the gentlenen who assisted with the order was very professional and willing to make sure the it was done in the time I needed and done as ordered on line. Emails were promptly answered. Ambiance...not applicable because pickup was curbside. Will absolutely return and get a bigger ice cream that and not just for a birthday. Thank you for assisting in helping us celebrate my husband's 60th birthday!

If you have a dairy allergy, I imagine this is the place to go. -- For those of us without a dairy allergy, this is my problem: I compare all ice cream against Graeter's. The ice cream here is creamy, but the flavors just do not hit right. At $5 for about 1/3 cup of ice cream in a cup, I wouldn't go back. Additionally, this location (including the restroom, which felt like a broom closet) was not the cleanest.

Looking for delicious vegan ice cream (& lots of non vegan choices for the rest of your family/friends) - the Hop delivers. I am a fan of the mint chip and their seasonal offerings.
My wife and I love The Hop. So much so that we eloped on the back porch and had planned on their icecream instead of cake for our family ceremony before COVID cancelled it. They have plenty of options for varying dietary restrictions and about half their offerings at any given time are dairy-free. All icecreams are clearly labeled with what allergens or sensitivities they contain.Some of our favorites over the years:Dairy Free chocolate beetMocha oreoStrawberry (made with fresh local strawberries usually)Any coffee/espresso flavor reallyAlmost all of their chocolate base onesThe people who work in there are also always friendly and helpful.
