The acai flavor comes through clearly, not masked by artificial sweeteners or flavorings

The most underwhelming fish and chips for $22. Disappointing to leave hungry when you overpay. Two very small pieces of finish with tiny sides

Plenty of good beer options here, the food is ok but nothing special. Will probably opt for another spot before coming back here

The Thirsty Monk is a great local watering hole that has a wide variety of beers on tap that range from your classic German biers with a twist to Hazy IPAs that AVL loves. The food always loosk great here but I have yet to try, the pretzel is gonna be first on the list though. Activities like trivia or board games are always available and the outside seating area is wonderful 3 seasons out of the year!

Excellent drinks.
Good variety of guest taps, mostly Greenman.
We only had a beer but it was good. Locally owned places are what we search out and we were not disappointed

This was a nice place to stop during our shopping to have a beer or cocktail. Alittle pricey but it is expected at tourist locations. But we enjoyed our drinks.

Solid beer selection. We were excited for the smash burger and Nashville hot trout, but all the food came out room temperature. Would try again, but food was disappointing the first time around.

Living fairly nearby we get to Thirsty Monk South maybe a couple times a month and love it here. Cozy pub vibe, elevated bar food, great taplist and liquor selection to boot. The Nashville Hot Trout sandwich (with locally sourced trout) is one of my favorite sandwiches in town, consistently delicious with just the right amount of heat. Their specials are always nice changes from the standard menu fare as well.
Atmosphere as mentioned feels like the type of cozy pub you might find in Europe, with ample dog-friendly outdoor seating when weather permits. But the key factor that sends Thirsty Monk South into 5 star territory is their staff & owners, who are consistently among the friendliest, most welcoming folks in town. (Also someone here has really good musical taste!)

Great little place if you have a furry friend and also need that lovely afternoon brew and a good bite to eat! We were coming from a long morning of hiking to Triple Falls and High Falls, on our way to finish the day at the Biltmore Estate. This was the perfect place to pop in! Chicken sandwich was amazing and the beer was so refreshing.
