The green beans were cold and it was supposed to be a vegetable medley but there was only one slice of carrots in plain beans. shrimp overcooked and chewy. baked⁷ potatoe was excellent. crab cake was OK nothing to write home about.
We have been coming to the Outer Banks for the past five years, and this week was the first time we ate The Froggy Dog. We all said we didn’t know why we hadn’t ever eaten there before. Delicious food, scrumptious homemade desserts and outstanding service. We liked it so well, we ate there twice this week.
We had the best experience tonight at dinner. Seriously hands down the best seafood we have had in a very long time. I cannot wait to eat here again. I had the blackened tuna and coconut shrimp and my husband had the mahi blackened, crab cake, clams, flounder and coconut shrimp. Everything was good all the way down to the sides. I seriously cannot recommend them enough. Also I can’t forget to mention our server Megan and the espresso martini that was amazing! Thank you guys...read full review

The Froggy Dog offers good food, including the delicious blue cheese and bacon burger and super food salad. This welcoming restaurant has a fun atmosphere, both indoors and outdoors, with plenty of seating, including special outdoor areas for guests with pups. The menu features a vegetarian burger option and a variety of non-seafood choices for lunch, including a shrimp po boy, blackened mahi fish sandwiches, flounder, fried shrimp, and the insane albatross burger. Customers have enjoyed a fan-damn-tastic brunch with excellent food, drinks, and service. The food is absolutely delicious and amazing, with scrumptious homemade desserts and outstanding service. Many visitors have wanted to visit for years and are glad they finally stopped, often returning for another meal. The Froggy Dog is a popular spot on Hatteras Island to enjoy a meal with family and friends.
