“No 1 Chinese Restaurant is an absolute steal when it comes to quality and price! When it's just the two of us, we don't hesitate to drop $20 to $30, and if we're thinking about leftovers for the next day, we might even splurge a bit more. Trust me, it's worth every cent.

I can't say for sure if they're under the same ownership as the one in Winterville, but what I can tell you is that they've got their act together. We're willing to go the extra mile, literally, as it takes us about 15-20 minutes out of our way just to order from here!

Their teriyaki chicken? Out of this world. It's officially crowned the champion among our top three favorites for teriyaki. “I ordered the general tso combo with vegetable lo mien, egg roll, and crab ragoon. Honestly wasn’t bad. The lo mien wasn’t dry. The eggroll was good. The ragoon definitely had a lot of crab flavor, I prefer more cream cheese but not bad. The general tso was ok. Cheap food and the best I have had in the area.“

Old 2019: I have tried this place about 3 times now the first time my sweet and sour chicken was so undercooked it was gross, but the sesame chicken was okay.Some of the pieces in the sesame chicken was tough and gross to eat. I tried it again ask for them to fully cook the chicken. Came overcooked and just looks unappealing (poorly battered and picked chicken). The food is lacking in flavor. The spicy chicken and broccoli was just disgusting . Chicken tasted so gross and the sauce, plus the broccoli was grey in some parts. Very disappointed really wanted this to be a good place to eat. At its current state I can not recommend anyone eat here.“

“I visit wasabi88 often and I’ve never had a bad experience. I came in this past Wednesday and WOW. I can’t even begin to explain how impressed I was. Our server let us know from the beginning that they were short staffed and he was the only server there. At this time they were not very busy but the people were coming in steady. I was worried that we’d have long wait times on food and drink refills but to my surprise, the food was just as good as it always is, drinks stayed refilled and service never suffered. This young man nailed it by the end of our meal I was seeing more staff on the floor helping out so I’m to assume they got more people in to work but the restaurant only had 3 tables left empty and again no guests seem to be suffering from bad service. It appeared to be running as if they had full staff. This server was absolutely fantastic and the food quality was once again top notch. I already cant hardly wait to come back.“
