Cool spot on the water. Food is decent (average pub food). Service and atmosphere were excellent when we went on a Sunday night, we were seated quickly (despite a bit of a crowd) and our server was great.Wings were tasty. Fish sandwich lacked a little flavor, but was overall good.

We had dinner in the bar area, during this off season. Plastic forks, plastic glasses. My wife’s peel shrimp were under done. My Calabash of flounder and shrimp was OK. The price was high, including tip, so I hope the food quality improves during the regular season.

If I could give it 0 stars I would the food you can tell comes frozen and flavorless like and island cafeteria the presentation is sloppy and the staff in the back of the house obviously doesn't know how to temp meats as my food came out raw , the only benefit was that it was near the water , I would not recommend eating here any other place on the island is better I promise !!

Early Sunday dinner outside. Veronica took good care of us. Food was hot and fresh. Peel and eat shrimp shared as appetizer. Chef special was GF. Scallops, risotto, and veg, very nice. Shrimp and scallops were huge on size. Family had calabash flounder and shrimp. All was good, especially good was the flounder... tasted fresh, not greasy, and cooked just right. On Saturday, October 28th, 2023, I had this restaurant for dinner on Bald Head Island, North Carolina. I ordered a fried seafood combination platter with shrimp, oysters, flounder, tater tots, hushpuppies, and coleslaw. Pertaining to the seafood, I found the shrimp to be the best. They were large and incredibly flavorful. I also enjoyed the flounder, and it's a mild whitefish only found on Atlantic coast of the US. The oysters were also good, but they were a bit small. Pertaining to the sides, I found the hushpuppies to be the best. I myself enjoy eating fried cornbread. I also enjoy eating the tater tots, and I prefer them over regular potato French fries. The coleslaw was standard, and I did finish it all. The service was a little bit slow, but the waitress was accommodating. The dining areas were nice, and the bar had a nice pirate theme for Halloween. Bald Head Island really didn't have any restaurants open on my day trip, but I'd recommend eating at this place before taking the ferry back to Southport.

Jules is an amazing hostess. Great live music (if miles Atlas is playing, don't miss it!). Super-friendly service, wonderful location. Just a great all around place to hang out and have drinks with friends on the dock.

Come to Jules with managed expectations. You can count on a cool atmosphere at the marina, and of course high prices come with the island. What's disappointing is the gamble on the food. Sometimes it's okay at best. On this visit, the hush puppies were good, but the chicken and pork sandwiches were lower than fast food quality -- just barely edible. I can pay $20+ for a sandwich, but not when it's below average quality.
