Coffee was kinda expensive ($8 for a 8 oz cappuccino) BUT they played Sabrina Carpenter and the staff are friendly. Overall positive experience. Leagues better coffee than Starbucks. Whatever beans they used had slightly fruity undertones.

Been coming to the Sandpiper for many years on BHI . Visited this week & was very disappointed. The staff wasn’t very welcoming. My daughter requested a biscuit and was told they don’t serve till 9am ( was 8:30). The girl then told her a biscuit and a burrito are the same item ??? . It’s just not the same place we used to visit where we were welcomed . Really sad …. No one was in there , so wondering if this off putting attitude is affecting their business.

Tried this coffee shop twice today (7/15/25), and both times, they got a simple coffee order wrong. The first coffee I asked for was an iced drip coffee with a splash of cream, and they made it like a latte as I could not taste any coffee. The second time, I just asked for an iced coffee black, and they handed me a hot coffee. When I said I asked for it iced, the girl froze and was confused about what I asked for. I needed to catch the ferry, so I just took it and threw it away. 2 coffees I paid for and threw both away.

Sand Piper Coffee is the perfect summer stop on Bald Head Island! We tried the peach, strawberry, and wild berry smoothies—and every single one was delicious and refreshing. They also offer iced coffees and ice cream, making it a great little spot for everyone. It’s the ideal place to cool off and relax while waiting for the ferry. We’ll definitely be back!

I always have to go to Sandpiper when I go to BHI. Ice cream flavors are delicious and constantly changing. Love it here!

My grandchildren love this place and would give it 100 stars if they could. They love the ice cream selections. The servers have always been extremely nice and give them extra ice cream. The coffees are amazing! Definitely would recommend!

The grits bowl was perfect and coffee is excellent.

Ordered chai latte and some other drinks. The drinks were barely warm, chai had weird taste, not well mixed. Not worth the price.

Everything we ordered was good (iced lattes, burritos, and muffins). Burritos were pretty expensive for how small they were.

Vegetarian options: Some muffins and breakfast burritos

They legitimately never even have anything. Their coffee is good but if you’re trying to grab a quick breakfast, don’t even try and attempt. It was 9:30 AM by the time we got there today and they had no food— no sandwiches, no burritos, not even any baked goods. Happened yesterday too. You’d think at this point they’d know how much stock they would need to function but I guess not. Most disappointing place on this island

Great coffee. It's pretty fast even when crowded. Good atmosphere by the Marina, just a little annoying to bike in the area because of the fact that so many people are driving around here. Besides coffee, the ice cream is pretty good. I would recommend going here at least once or twice if you're on the island.
