You ask for medium rare and you get medium rare. The kitchen put out amazing food on our first visit. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem.

We followed our gps to the restaurant and were disappointed to find it was in the middle of a golf course. Didn’t go inside. Found a place on the waterfront to eat.
We went for lunch right as they opened. The chicken tenders and fries my husband had were delicious and didn't taste like frozen chicken. I had a delightful grilled peach salad that was so fresh. The homemade dressing was different... much thicker than normal dressing, but it was still tasty. We would definitely go back for dinner because the pork chop sounded amazing.

It's been a while since I've had actual seafood, and this establishment did not disappoint. I had one of the specials--risotto stuffed grouper, scallops in a spinach and parmesan sauce, and grilled shrimp--and was not disappointed. Dessert was a vanilla bean creme brulee that was out of this world.
I knew it might be a bit pricey--the restaurant is located at a golf course clubhouse--but this was a spur-of-the-moment, and the staff was incredibly friendly and understanding about the whole thing.
I will be coming back.

4.5 stars Came here on Monday for lunch and there was no wait in the restaurant. My dad got the club and I got the squash soup ($8). The soup wasn't quite wasn't what I was expecting as it came in a martini glass (guess I should've gone with the blue corn pancakes). It was very warm temperature-wise and the local honey added some sweetness to it. Since we were celebrating my birthday, they brought out a small chocolate cake with berries. It had a harder outer crust of chocolate and was delicious. The views were great and you could find some reasonably priced items on the menu.
Blue Heron is our go to spot! Brunch, Lunch or Dinner has NEVER disappointed! If you're looking for a date night, a family meal with kids or a private party - they can accommodate all! BH staff are top notch! 💯💯💯
Absolutely spectacular!! We are very sensitive celiacs, and called before hand to see if they could accommodate us. The hostess on the phone said, with confidence, ‘yes, we have lots of gluten free options, and our head chef can accommodate any allergy’ so we made our reservation!
The most important part, YES they CAN accommodate celiacs! And sensitive celiacs at that, if we were local, we would absolutely come back again and again.
We ordered the oysters Oscar feller, black and blue bites (I ordered a 2nd plate they were so good) maple bacon pork chops and the salmon/scallops they had on special. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.
Dietary restrictions: Celiac friendly!!!

The lunch options are really good. The dinner options are even better! The maple bourbon galzed pork chop is amazing. It is pricey, but once you satisfy your palette you don't even care

Oysters Rockefeller were excellent but only 4. Good sized with bits of crab in with the spinach and sauce. Wife had the Red Drum fish and lightly blackened shrimp which was tasty. I had a wedge salad with grilled shrimp. The lettuce wedge was nice and green and crisp. It came with a few cherry tomatoes, bacon and blue cheese crumbles. The blue cheese dressing was loaded with chunks of blue cheese and the shrimp were plentiful and good. The dining room with bar was extremely noisy. It was difficult to converse with the wait staff or my wife. Chris , our server, did a good job although it did take a while for our dinners to come out. In a golf club outside of town which is open to the public.

Restaurantji Recommends
I ate dinner here about a week ago and followed the recommendation of the server for the chef's seafood special. The chef had blackened American Red Snapper and blackened Sea Scallops over a bed of shrimp risotto with sauteed squash and zucchini. The food was delicious and the atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxing and has an intimate setting. Service was amazing and will be going back. We can't wait to try what the chef cooks up next and always enjoy talking with the staff.

The food is always amazing, and the chefs at the restaurant (lunch & dinner) do an amazing job, especially with their daily specials. The staff is friendly, always ensuring the customers are being taken care of and having a nice meal. I've eaten several things from both the lunch and dinner menu and it's always delicious!
