I ordered the Hamburger Steak with mushrooms and onions and it was delicious. My daughter ordered the shrimp and grits and was disappointed with the grit cakes as they weren't grits as she was expecting but I thought the taste was wonderful and I ate the grit part of her dinner since it was very delicious to me. Called at 2pm on the day we wanted to go even though on website they advise to call weeks in advance. They were wonderful and got us a reservation, it was just two of us. The hostess was so nice and pleasant and got us a table next over from a window and we had great views. Our waiter was very attentive and made great recommendations on food. City Kitchen isn't on the main strip of Beaufort but tucked onto the second floor of the Marina. We were seated outside and had a gorgeous view of the water at sunset. Our waitress Dana was incredibly friendly. The vegetarian Korean bowl and the famous toffee dessert were a hit. We would come back again!
