This little distillery tucked into the beautiful Appalachian mountains near Pisgah National Forest is absolutely phenomenal. The flavor complexity of their dynamic liquors rivals any top shelf. Try the Barrel Reserve Gin. Amazing!

I can’t say enough about how amazing Oak and Grist is! They hosted a private event for my Welcome Dinner for our wedding weekends. Skylar worked with us for a custom bar menu and they even stayed an hour later for us to keep the party going. Our guests raved about the cocktails and the atmosphere was perfect for our group of 70 people!

Located about 15-20 minutes east of Asheville out off I-40. Do a flight to sample their products. Their Speyside- style single malt and their American malt whiskeys were pretty good. Plenty of parking on sight. Staff was friendly and interesting yo talk to. The flight was just $5 for 5 tastes. Well worth it!

If you could boil Western Carolina down and bottle it, this would be the place you go. Oak and Grist is smaller compared to other distilleries in the region, but they are giant-sized in terms of taste and quality. I walked in with no plans of buying gin, but left with a bottle in addition to an excellent single malt. We found this place by accident near the end of our trip, and I'm really glad we did.
