NO FOOD. The beer selection is super solid and the drinks get you where you're trying to go. The one bartender made my paloma with tajin, which I was not expecting, and it was HEAT. If you're looking for a good dive bar this is the spot.

Town Pump Tavern quickly became our favorite local bar during our stay in Black Mountain. It’s got the perfect dive bar vibes—cheap drinks, good service, and a super cute back patio to hang out on. No frills, just a laid-back, fun spot to unwind. Loved it!

Pretty decent spot. 100% a dive bar. Pretty small. Decent patio out back. Cash only - come on bar owner, don't make us suffer bc you cheat your taxes!! My only real complaint was that the beers on tap were a little flat and probably at the highest temperature that could still be considered "cool". Is luke cool a thing.
