Absolutely outstanding restaurant in Black Mountain. So good had to eat there two nights in a row while in the area assisting with hurricane relief. Service was excellent, servers were great, and prices were excellent. Best steak dinner for the price anywhere! Will definitely eat here next time we are in the area!

I’ve really enjoyed my experiences at Trailhead! Brigid and Emily are of the best servers that I’ve had. I absolutely loved the curry chickpea burger special on one of my visits, but unfortunately unless there’s a good special, there isn’t a solid vegan option on the menu. Beer prices are great! Also shoutout Eli.

I had Fish & chips which excellent. My brother in law had a hamburger which was also very good. Our waitress was good, but the food was slow in coming out, but was hot.

We really enjoyed our lunch. Sat at the bar and the bartender was great. I got the warm kale salad with chickpeas, goat cheese, pickled onions. Everything was so fresh and the salad dressing was so tasty. Husband got the burger and onion rings,the onion rings were lightly breaded and crisp, cooked perfectly. Inside and outside dinning, parking lot right beside restaurant. Great location in the quaint town of Black mountain.

Best Greek salad ever! Steak and onion sandwich very tasty. Really enjoyed dining on the patio with in-sun and out-of-sun tables. Friendly service.

The place is filthy. We sat by the front window where the floors were dirty and sticky and the walls needed a good scrubbing or repaint. I'd hat to see the kitchen

We've eaten at this place before - last time about a year ago - and loved it. What a disappointing difference yesterday was. The wait to be seated wasn't too bad, but a bit longer than most restaurants. But once seated, our wait service was atrocious. Fifteen minutes before we were asked about drinks; another fifteen minutes before our order was taken, then we waiting over 30 minutes before two burgers showed up. In that full hour, we had to ask for drink refills, and when we received them 10 minutes later, we got tea but no ice! Using almost 2 hours for poor service and a couple of OK burgers? Nah... we probably won't be back.

What a fine! We were traveling all over NC for vacation. The fish and chips were excellent. The atmosphere is fun and everyone working there really enjoys their job!!! Our server was amazing.

Got our dinner to-go because I wasn’t feeling well, it is SO GOOD! I got the “hickory nut falls”, the steak dish…it’s so good. The steak is cooked to perfection, literally perfect med rare. Got the baked Mac and cheese and YALL it’s so good. My hubby got the “trail blazer” burger and destroyed it in maybe 3 minutes. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to eat here in person when we come back to town.
