My friend Carter took a group here to celebrate his wife's birthday. Here is what he had to say ( and I agree!): "We had a fabulous evening for my wife's birthday: the setting on the veranda with balloons and flowers, the attentive service, quality of the food, especially the entrees along with unique side dishes. Everything was fresh with delicate flavoring. "

Our experience at trillium was wonderful - by far the best meal we had in black mountain! The steak was cooked perfectly and the side dishes we ordered with it (kabocha squash, mashed potatoes) were delicious. The staff were so friendly and made us feel right at home. Would highly recommend for a nice dinner in black mountain!

Stopped here on the road and everything was perfect. Just what was needed after a long drive. The cocktail menu looked fantastic, I wish I hadn't needed to do more driving. We will be back for sure! The service was fantastic and the food was great.....the chicken and potatoes paired perfectly.

Our party of 6 had the pork chop, potato gnocchi, trout, salad and cornbread. The homemade bread rolls w compound butter and side of carrots were delicious.

Wonderful dining experience in Black Mountain. Everything was excellent - the food, the service, the atmosphere. We had the braised beef and the steak and both were superb. Also the potatoes and the gnocchi (which was especially nice). Very welcoming - they kindly presented us with an unexpected complimentary dish! Will definitely make this a regular visit.

2nd visit. Everything was at least as good as the first time. We had the New York strip special and the trout. Excellent. We also had the mixed greens salad, bread service, and the special chocolate cake for dessert. Really good food! And the service and atmosphere were welcoming and cozy. A Black Mountain favority.

Our group of seven had a fantastic culinary experience. We ordered one of everything on the menu and shared. Five Stars all around. Excellent service.

I came here over the holidays with my girlfriend - on a whim, didn't know anything about the place. We had such an awesome time! Loved the setting (cozy intimate tables in what's basically a house), service was friendly and attentive - the whole thing is a loving family operation, and lastly the food and drinks were delicious (comfort-style but refined, some old family recipes). We are looking forward to going back!

I cannot speak highly enough about Trillium. I took my daughter for a special occasion dinner and we were treated like royalty. Our table was beautifully set with seasonal touches like the napkins being folded as Christmas trees! The food was out of this world. We got the bread service, gnocchi, steak, and 2 desserts. Everything was just incredible and we can’t wait to go back.

We just had the most incredible dinner, drinks, and service that we’ve had in a long time! Every single bite of food was like being transported into an exhilarating ride of deliciousness. The bread service, the gnocchi, the chef’s cut steak starter, the pork chop, the potato side, the insane cabbage side, and the spiced poached apple dessert were simply heavenly. The cocktails were crafted by the most talented bartender with the legit most perfect hand carved ice cubes. To top it all, the service was just lovely. Our first time there and immediately felt like family. This is a must visit if you are anywhere in a 100 mile radius. I hope I dream about it tonight just so I can relive this meal. Take me back already!

Wow. We truly enjoyed our meal. Visiting Black Mountain from Charleston. Both my wife and I have been working in the industry for a long time and we appreciated this place so much. The food was intentional, delicious and creative (shiitake mushroom cooked like a steak). Our server was the chefs wife and she was down to earth and so friendly. The attentiveness and her willing to connect with the guests without a script is such a rare experience in a restaurant. If you are considering driving from Asheville or any surrounding town to check it out don’t hesitate. It’s worth the drive. Ambience was truly warm and unique. Highly recommend this place.

Unfortunately we didn’t get any photos, we were much too enamored by the delicious food, mindfully curated cocktails and scrumptious desserts. Our favorite was the market price steak, potatoes & asparagus. We ordered one of each dessert both egg nog pot de crème and chocolate mousse blew our minds!! Yummy all around 🤗

Everything from the food to the service was superb! We had a large group of 16 and they went out of their way to provide us with outstanding service. We have been coming to Black Mountain for years and this the best dining experience we have ever had. The food was exceptional.
