Great food and service. Every time we are at Black Mountain, we eat there. The daily soups are fantastic as well. I love the Cuban sandwich, also! The at,osphere in the 10p year old building with the original creaky wooden floors and the decor is great as well.

Veranda has been the staple restaurant on Cherry Street in downtown Black Mountain and it never disappoints!! Cute interior, usually bustling with people because it's normally packed during lunchtime. If you are waiting for a table, they have some cute items to purchase in the lobby...funny cards, tea, towels, etc. The food and service were excellent, as always!!
Moving to the area I'm looking for new restaurants. Came with a high recommendation from a local as the best place to go get soup. I tried two different to give them a fair shot. Unfortunately both were less than exciting. Most notable was the people were extremely friendly. I had the half sandwich and soup. I felt the portions were very small for the price. I'll probably give the place another shot since the people were so nice.
