Well I chose Speckled Trout for my 50th birthday lunch because we have been there several times and always had a good experience. This was not one of those times. We arrived just after our reservation time and was seated by 1134. We did not see our waiter for 25 minutes. At 1159 he decide to bring us water and get our drink and app order. We got the hikers plate. Major disappointment for a charcuterie plate. There were 5 pieces of meat 3 pieces of cheese and mostly picked veggies....read full review

From Morehead City and in town for my birthday. Was an awesome place to grab a drink after some shopping downtown. Drinks were amazing and service was great. Loved all the decor and outside set up. Can’t wait to come back.
