We loved everything about the place. It's really nice atmosphere, the service was great, and the food was fantastic. It was so good, we came back the next day for brunch!

My daughter and I were visiting Appy State and we stopped at Betty's for brunch. As soon as you walk in the door you are drawn in by the warm atmosphere. Food and service were great. We had a butternut squash soup and a breakfast bowl. Presentation was also very nice. I would certainly recommend trying it out and I would visit again next time in Boone.

Waited almost a hour for a table for 2. Then waited another hour for 2 biscuits. Waitress never checked on us until after we got food. Everyone was complaining. Chicken biscuit was mostly breading. About 3 bites of chicken. Biscuit was ok. It was a mess to eat. Charged for ketchup or mayo. Water was hippy water with no ice. You had to serve yourself. I asked for water and waitress pointed to table. I figured for a hour wait for a biscuit, it should be darn good. Very disappointing!

Betty’s Biscuits is a gem in Boone! This cozy little spot serves up some of the best biscuits you’ll ever taste. Every bite feels like pure comfort. The menu has that perfect balance of classic Southern favorites and creative twists, and everything tastes homemade and fresh.

The vibe is laid back and cheerful, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. It’s the kind of place that brightens your morning whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or lingering over coffee with friends.

If you love good food made with love, Betty’s Biscuits is a must. It’s right near Mast General and an antique mall across the street. So if you have to wait a bit for a table, there’s plenty close by!

I got the Side Hustle (biscuits and gravy) and my husband got the Butterbuster (chicken buscuit) and a Bloody Mary and all were great.

Not related to the quality of the restaurant, but I will add that parking was extremely difficult for us to find. All the lots nearby were full at 10:00 on a Monday morning. We ended up finding a metered parking spot about 4 blocks from the restaurant.

Right in the heart of Boone, Betty’s Biscuits is the kind of place that instantly makes you smile — modern yet cozy, casual yet thoughtfully designed. It’s a space that feels both fresh and familiar, with welcoming service and the charm of a true mountain-town café. Indoor and outdoor seating make it perfect year-round, whether you’re grabbing breakfast with friends or lingering over a late morning coffee.

The menu is creative and full of personality, with everything made from scratch and sourced from local farmers and purveyors. The “Butterbuster” chicken biscuit is a showstopper — crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — while the “Plain Jane” proves that simple done right can still be extraordinary.

It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to come back the next morning just to try something new. A must-visit for breakfast or lunch.

me and my friend went to betty’s biscuits for the first time this morning and loved the food but the wait time and customer service was absolutely awful. we placed our order and where told it would take about 20 minutes and then proceeded to watch everyone who ordered after us get there food and after 35 minutes we went up to ask and they told
us 15 more minutes 20 minutes later we went to ask again and where told they would try to find it in the back. and they eventually brought it out… overall food was great, timing and service was not.

Found this delicious eatery while walking the shops of downtown Boone.
We split the breakfast egg and bacon biscuit which we paired with insanely good grits. Not grainy, but very chunky. Incredible texture!
We then split the Apple French Toast biscuit (because fall y’all!) for dessert. So glad we got to try both of these and left stuffed! We will make it a must next time we’re in Boone/Blowing Rock.

what an excellent new find! we have a cabin up in the mountains so come a few times a year. it’s been great to see all the new spots in town. hadn’t been since last December and bumped into this on the way up the mountain and finally made it down to try it.

food was excellent! a highlight was the sausage and pepper jam biscuit (+ cheese) and the biscuit with butter and jam. 💯

the space is very cozy, and the attention to detail is nice.

and the service was just lovely. Dani was very nice and had good suggestions. Looking forward to coming by at night for some cocktails.

hope this one sticks around for the long run!

We are from Raleigh and went in last night just before they closed.
I got a spicy/sweet sausage biscuit(real sausage not fake)
We also got 2 small treats filled with chocolate.
I'm from the country and love a good biscuit, and this hit the spot.
I would def. Recommend.
I gave 5 stars because there are so many restaurants around here that serve alternative protein, and, that's just not my thing.
Will def. Go back.
Also it's on the main strip in town, just kinda hard to see, hopefully they fix that, because this place is worth it!!

I don't do reviews often..but this needs to be done since everyone is always saying this place is so great...No ...no it isn't. We went for the first time yesterday, the hostess was sweet and kind..however the server was less than any of that. I can't tell you how long we waited to even get our drinks...then our food came pretty quickly but it was just OK. the gluten free biscuit was super dry, cold and hard, they were out of the butter we wanted but never mentioned it when we ordered, just brought the food and hoped we didn't notice I guess...the gravy for my husband's biscuit was 95% sausage with a drizzle of gravy...so also super dry biscuits and gravy..lol..but he was starving so he ate it. On top of that..the atmosphere itself was super chaotic, pretentious and not welcoming to say the least. Our server came back to the table once at the end to apologize and say thank u that we were being patient... then to make the comment... man you guys ate a lot!... ummm..no we didn't..it wasn't good, not that the server even asked....also...who says that. anyway, 1 single star for the hostess..definitely don't recommend.
