Five stars all day. I stopped by Betty’s Biscuits while exploring Boone and ordered the Butter Buster… and let me tell you, that biscuit was legendary. Perfectly flaky, buttery, and packed with flavor the kind of breakfast that fuels a full day of wilderness adventures.
The staff were just as amazing as the food. Super friendly, welcoming, and you can tell they care about what they’re doing. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a local even if it’s your first visit.
If you’re in Boone and need a breakfast that will change your morning for the better, Betty’s Biscuits is the spot.

Refined rustic. First time there woukd highly recommend. I ordered rhe side hustle and added an over medium egg. WOW. Not only did they get the egg right and spot on but the biscuit and gravy was served in a blue metal plate with beans sprouts and red cabbage with at first I thought was a Jalepeno. Not happy until I tried it. Light vinaigrette and a persimmon in it. AMAZING. Elevated that dish to a whole new level. They bring your bill in an actual book. Just a very great atmosphere and experience. Better bring an appetite because Betty doesnt make small biscuits lol.

Came in expecting just another breakfast restaurant thay serves biscuits. I was very pleasantly surprised. The entire menu is very farm to table. You know where I'll the components come from. The dishes are beautiful and well constructed. The atmosphere was lovely and the server was on top of everything. Would definitely recommend.

My daughter and I were visiting Appy State and we stopped at Betty's for brunch. As soon as you walk in the door you are drawn in by the warm atmosphere. Food and service were great. We had a butternut squash soup and a breakfast bowl. Presentation was also very nice. I would certainly recommend trying it out and I would visit again next time in Boone.

Waited almost a hour for a table for 2. Then waited another hour for 2 biscuits. Waitress never checked on us until after we got food. Everyone was complaining. Chicken biscuit was mostly breading. About 3 bites of chicken. Biscuit was ok. It was a mess to eat. Charged for ketchup or mayo. Water was hippy water with no ice. You had to serve yourself. I asked for water and waitress pointed to table. I figured for a hour wait for a biscuit, it should be darn good. Very disappointing!

Betty’s Biscuits is a gem in Boone! This cozy little spot serves up some of the best biscuits you’ll ever taste. Every bite feels like pure comfort. The menu has that perfect balance of classic Southern favorites and creative twists, and everything tastes homemade and fresh.
The vibe is laid back and cheerful, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. It’s the kind of place that brightens your morning whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or lingering over coffee with friends.
If you love good food made with love, Betty’s Biscuits is a must. It’s right near Mast General and an antique mall across the street. So if you have to wait a bit for a table, there’s plenty close by!
I got the Side Hustle (biscuits and gravy) and my husband got the Butterbuster (chicken buscuit) and a Bloody Mary and all were great.
Not related to the quality of the restaurant, but I will add that parking was extremely difficult for us to find. All the lots nearby were full at 10:00 on a Monday morning. We ended up finding a metered parking spot about 4 blocks from the restaurant.

Right in the heart of Boone, Betty’s Biscuits is the kind of place that instantly makes you smile — modern yet cozy, casual yet thoughtfully designed. It’s a space that feels both fresh and familiar, with welcoming service and the charm of a true mountain-town café. Indoor and outdoor seating make it perfect year-round, whether you’re grabbing breakfast with friends or lingering over a late morning coffee.
The menu is creative and full of personality, with everything made from scratch and sourced from local farmers and purveyors. The “Butterbuster” chicken biscuit is a showstopper — crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — while the “Plain Jane” proves that simple done right can still be extraordinary.
It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to come back the next morning just to try something new. A must-visit for breakfast or lunch.

me and my friend went to betty’s biscuits for the first time this morning and loved the food but the wait time and customer service was absolutely awful. we placed our order and where told it would take about 20 minutes and then proceeded to watch everyone who ordered after us get there food and after 35 minutes we went up to ask and they told
us 15 more minutes 20 minutes later we went to ask again and where told they would try to find it in the back. and they eventually brought it out… overall food was great, timing and service was not.

Found this delicious eatery while walking the shops of downtown Boone.
We split the breakfast egg and bacon biscuit which we paired with insanely good grits. Not grainy, but very chunky. Incredible texture!
We then split the Apple French Toast biscuit (because fall y’all!) for dessert. So glad we got to try both of these and left stuffed! We will make it a must next time we’re in Boone/Blowing Rock.
