We had a really disappointing experience at Comp Sushi Bistro and Bar. It took 20 minutes just to get our appetizer of gyoza, and then we waited another 40 minutes for our main course—which never arrived. Our waiter completely disappeared and never once came to check on us. Poor service and frustrating overall.

Ordered 3 different kind of sushi. Taste were all good. But it took 50 minutes to get them. If we didnt get Edamame as appetizer, probably we wont be able to wait for the food. Still ok because of price/performance. Long story short, not a good service when serving times and customer care considered.

We really enjoyed the creative sushi rolls here. I’d never had apple used in sushi before and loved it. Relatively small place so recommend reservation but we went without one at 4 pm and got seated right away. We had both rolls and sashimi and both were great.

Ordered take out as I was craving sushi. This place did not disappoint. Great presentation, even in the take away box. My boo says I would have enjoyed the ambiance had we eaten there. When in Boone, give this place a try.

We made no reservation on a Friday night. The wait was 40-50 mins, so they asked if we minded sitting at the bar- we were fine with that! We got to watch the sushi chefs make the food, which was pretty fun. I have celiac, they were extremely accommodating for GLUTEN FREE. The GF Hibachi chicken was sooooo delicious and flavorful with their house made gf soy sauce (Tamari). I definitely recommend the RED DRAGON roll if you enjoy sushi. It was the best sushi roll I have EVER had. After letting our waiter know we absolutely loved that roll— he told us that it’s Tony Hawk’s fav roll also! The staff were wonderful. We will for sure visit this place again.

We took a shot here with no reservations on. Saturday evening. I would generally recommend reservations here, but thankfully we were able to be seated straight away without so much as a wait!
There is a beautiful bar area, and though we decided to sit at a high top adjacent to the bar, I’d choose to sit at the bar if possible next time to watch the bartender or the chefs.
Our server was excellent. She struck the perfect balance between providing excellent attention without overwhelming us. She quickly took our drink orders, while we spent a bit more time looking over the menu. We got two cocktails to start along with the edamame. The blackberry mojito was good, but the Ichigo Fizz was exceptional! I’ll defin try more of their sake cocktails next time!
For dinner, we ordered three rolls to share. We enjoyed a mix of types of rolls, and while we each had our personal preferences, we found them all to be well prepared, with fresh ingredients and careful presentation.
Overall, an excellent meal in a well-appointed establishment!
