I always order the scallops at any restaurant that offers them. Cobo set the bar for me last night. Set on a bed of sliced squid and mushrooms in an incredible sauce. Wow.

Update 2024- It's no longer to die for. The sushi was grocery store average with the customer service to match. The nori was so rubbery that I thought I was chewing through a rubber band. The waitress was nice. The hostess was not. Even with a 4pm reservation and the restaurant empty, the hostess acted like we were an inconvenience and told us to be done in an hour if we wanted to sit in a booth. We won't be coming back.

Daniel our waiter was a young man who knew the menu "inside and out" , had a sense of humor and aimed to please. While he made our night, it would of been washed away if the sushi , duck and desert was not fabulous. We were celebrating a birthday and I asked Daniel to ask the chef to create a special roll for the table to share and the only regret was we didn't order two. Lastly the scallop mushroom ? and squid ? dish was out of this world.
This is one of our favorite places for a special meal in Boone. They do a great job with gluten sensitive orders.

I’ve been going to Cobo for a while and have recommended it to many of my friends. I like their sushi, but this time, the food didn’t taste the same. I don’t know if there was a change in ingredient quality or a change to how the sushi was but to me it was very bland and didn’t give me the experience I usually have. Hopefully they change something about it to help make there sushi. The service was great though and the atmosphere was above expectations as always.
We booked reservations for 30 for a wedding welcome dinner and they had us set up perfectly in the back of the restaurant. The service was amazing! They made sure we had everything we needed! The food was delicious as it always is! We ordered cocktails, many apps (all delicious), sushi, entrees and dessert! All were so good!!! Can’t wait to visit again! Thanks COBO for a great start to the wedding weekend!
