Great food and atmosphere for a special location. Server made us feel rushed even though we were out the door by 7 from a 5pm reservation which didn't create a good feeling. Would definitely go back again, though .
Tonya provided excellent service. The food was quite good but expensive. The portions were big especially the mixed grill appitizer. From valet to the end of the meal all was very enjoyable. We sat in the “sunroom” which I thought would be cool but the space heaters worked well and the room was warm.
The Gamekeeper was fantastic! I started my meal with a Bleu salad, the apple vinaigrette dressing with the candied pecans were super delish. My main course was the Elk Denver Leg, it was so tender and flavorful. The blue cheese Mac & cheese was phenomenal. This by far, was a perfect meal. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the Boone, NC area.
