Its rare to go to a Mexican restaurant and have a bed experience. But this place really sucks. We walked in, got seated and I asked the waiter a question. He isn't answer it and walked away. The salsa for the chips have a really strange taste. We order our food and it comes out super quick within like 5 min. We both got chili relleno and their raw and crunchy. It's difficult to even cut it with a knife... both RAW. Worst pepper ive ever eaten. Altogether it was a bad experience. The waiter never even check on us either. Their in too much of a rush to serve good food it have decent customer service.
Fabulous, tasty food at a good price.
Nice place good food very friendly wait staff.
Come on an empty stomach because you will full when you leave...
Lots of tasty food for the price. Excellent service.
We loved the vegetarian food so much that we ended up going on both days while we were in Boone. Very flexible with kids meals too.
Fast, friendly service and hot tasty food.

Excellent food and service. They have REAL Chile relleno, a rare find these days. Get a large Dos Equis to wash it down. The carnitas are on point too and a solid portion.

I've been wanting to try it forever and finally did. The food is very much average. I have some other options that are better, one in Jefferson and one in Wilkesboro.
We ordered:
-Beef burrito. It was literally only beef inside, the flour tortilla was not burrito size so it was more like an enchilada (open on the ends) and the tortilla itself was restaurant supply chain quality. Not much flavor. Meh.
-Chili Relleno. It was a little undercooked (not crunchy but not soft enough to cut easily) and filled with white american cheese rather than real cheese.
-Soup. I think they're all the same except for the protein and it was the best of what we ordered. Wasn't the best, mostly tomato flavor, but not bad.
I would like to add that their menu is pretty extensive and I'm sure my one experience doesn't define their food as a whole.
I am admittedly picky, am spoiled by SOCAL Mexican food and most Mexican restaurants outside of the Sothwest US are sadly lacking. Thay being said I've had some decent experiences. Monte D Ray in West Jefferson is decent, and we do enjoy going to Plaza Del Sol in Wilkesboro. If you're in Boone and don't feel like driving, that's understandable. I choose to drive.

The drinks are overpriced and not listed on menu as $40 a pitcher. We ordered a margarita that usually comes orange or mango delicious flavor, and got a watered down house margarita that cost more than 3 entrées combined.
