The food was good, but the service was not.
My husband, kids and I went today to enjoy a lunch. My husband got the burger melt and it was good! I got the Greek salad and it was very good! All the portions were generous.
But, from the time we stepped into the establishment to the time we left we were treated as an inconvenience to our server. We also witnessed her attitude towards other guests, too.
Loved the good food and great service!
Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breaded mushrooms were plentiful to share and just crispy enough. Sweet tea was Perfect. Clean bathroom!
Parking: Plenty of parking in the rear of the restaurant.
Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking right out front with a.nice ramp if needed into the restaurant.
Grammy's Restaurant offers a cozy and charming atmosphere with a nice view of the mountains. The front room may appear small, but there are additional seating areas. The menu is diverse with special offerings available. The cheese grits and waffles, called "Slam Jam," are notable choices. The steak and eggs meal is also highly recommended. The server provides excellent service with a classic southern hospitality.
However, there were some areas for improvement mentioned. The food was described as okay, lacking anything special. The service was criticized for not checking back after bringing the food. The cleanliness of the floors was questioned.
On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breaded mushrooms were plentiful and crispy. The sweet tea received high praise. Parking is ample in the rear of the restaurant with handicap parking and a ramp available. Overall, Grammy's Restaurant offers a charming atmosphere with a diverse menu, but there is room for improvement in food and service consistency.
