Many customers enjoyed classic American favorites like hot dogs, fried bologna sandwiches, and BLTs. The restaurant was famous for its killer chocolate malts and malt shakes, which were highly recommended. The food was consistently praised for being delicious, and the service was friendly and efficient, with guests often greeted promptly and seated quickly. One standout was The Graceland, an Elvis-inspired French toast with peanut butter and bananas, which was beautifully presented and loved by visitors. The proprietor and staff were known for being welcoming and kind, adding to the warm atmosphere. The restaurant retained its original 1940s decor, including booths, the counter, and other fixtures, making it an authentic soda fountain diner and a true gem. Sadly, it closed in 2023 after over 80 years of operation, with the owners retiring or passing away. There is hope that someone will buy and reopen the establishment, preserving its nostalgic charm and preventing it from being replaced by a barbecue restaurant.
