Rocky's Grill & Soda Shop, a beloved diner established in 1941, offered a charming retro atmosphere and was known for its delicious pimento cheese sandwiches. The restaurant was famous for its killer chocolate malts and malt shakes, which were a nice sweet treat on a hot day. The food was consistently praised for being delicious and quality cuisine, and the service was excellent, attentive, and fast, with guests often greeted promptly and seated quickly. One standout was The Graceland, an Elvis-inspired French toast with peanut butter and bananas, which was beautifully presented and loved by visitors. The Pimiento Grilled Cheese and Tomato Basil Soup are the perfect pair. The restaurant retained its original 1940s decor, making it an authentic soda fountain diner and a true gem with nostalgia galore and a great soundtrack. They also had fantastic peach ice cream, a strong natural flavor with chunks of peach. Sadly, it closed in 2023 after over 80 years of operation. There is hope that someone will buy and reopen the establishment, preserving its nostalgic charm.
