I have ate here two days in a row and im obsessed. I had the BBQ sandwich yesterday which was pretty good although sauce is on the side but I'll rate the BBQ sandwich probably an 8 out of 10 in my opion and I got French fries which are large and flavorful. Today I gor a hamburger with fries and yall that was the best hamburger I've had in a long time definitely 10/10 and fries were just as good as yesterday. It is a great little restraunt we found with (Cash only) with an atm inside for convince. I loved it.

Our large group was accommodated nicely in this small venue. The service was fast and friendly, even though there were some rules on which meats can go with what or bought by itself. The food was great so we didn’t have an issue with that. The bbq, brisket, brunswick stew, hush puppies, cole slaw it was all fantastic. Would definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Ordered a Brisket platter, when question they only offered to redo the order after already waiting 15 minutes. Cashier admitted she made the mistake, but still wanted to charge again.

Used to be my favorite place to eat on my way to cherokee or Gatlinburg but the last two times have been absolutely disgusting. The stew isn't the same anymore with peas and carrots in it, the chicken looked and tasted like oven cooked chicken and the lady at the register said it came off the smoker... definitely not. The potato salad was literally smashed potato salad. 🤢

I have been going to the Bar-B-Que Wagon since they were a food truck back in 1996. In or around Bryson City, you won't find better barbecue than this place. I have never had a bad experience here. I recommend this place to everyone!
I came during the depths of the pandemic in 2020 and the food was so memorable I came back 4 years later to review it.
Food was delicious. Everything. We had a little of everything - ribs, sides, you name it. All top notch. Some of the nest BBQ I ever had - although coming from the NE I wasnt used to be sauces being on the side rather than basted during the cooking process. What a regional treat.
Outside by the creek during later summer was so nice. Really memorable.
I'd come back in a heartbeat if I was ever through the area again.

The food is mehh. We are from Lexington and from the outside, the smell was amazing. We had the brisket, pork and fixings. The brisket honestly had no flavor outside the sauce that it was covered in. The pork is just okay. It definitely lacked seasoning.

Staff helpful and friendly. Brisket basket sandwiches, no sauce needed. Beautiful outdoor view of the river while eating was an added plus!
