My family and I ate here after taking a hike! Our kids got wet and we were hungry so after seeing they had outdoor tables we decided to stop. I have an extremely picky son and a husband who eats mostly plant based so it seemed likely they would just get some fries to hold them over or something. I was mistaken! They had such a good variety and options! Our whole party (extended family was there too) found something and were really happy with it. We went on and on about how unlike many places these days they did not skimp. Some were impressed with the size of their burger patties, others with how much meat was on their potatoes, the quesadillas were fat, and my potato was truly loaded with bacon and cheese. Overall we were very happy with the choice and definitely recommend!

Best cheeseburger & hotdogs we've ever had at a restaurant! We had the Boxcar Cheeseburger, German hotdog & American hotdog with a side of fries, chocolate ice cream & strawberry ice cream. It was so delicious, fresh & made to order! We will be back next year for the train ride & we will make this restaurant our go to spot! Fantastic food with an array of food options! Thank you!

Been there a couple times and had the all American hot dog , honestly the best hot dog I’ve ever had ! Staff is amazing, restaurant is clean and nice , I HIGHLY recommend coming to Bryson City and giving this place a try , you won’t be disappointed!

Small place but great options and plenty of parking. We got ice cream cones and they were huge and reasonably priced! We ate lunch at a different place that day but when we walked in and saw people eating there, we wished we had at Boxcar. Their food looks so good and at a great price!
