I scream I went from one extreme to another. Started with a plain waffle cone filled with and excellent Black Cherry Icecream Topped with a Magical Toasted Coconut.. Down side is it's gonna run you about $8 like any good Icecream.. It's worth it.

Delightful shoppe. I got a medium butterscotch ice cream in a chocolate coated waffle cone. They had other assorted treats to choose from. Open later than other local ice cream shops. I am very happy that I could stop in while traveling the area exploring the smoky mountains

Rather pricey for most of the items. $1.99 for a buckeye, $2.69 for a chocolate covered Oreo cookie. $4.99 for 1/4lb of jelly beans.

Cute little shop and perfect for the little town of Bryson City. Employees are very pleasant and helpful. The shop is always organized and clean. The assorted chocolates, caramel apples, and ice creams are all so delicious. And you’ve gotta try their chocolate covered gummy bears. OMG!!!!

I may come back to Bryson City just for the chocolate-covered apricots here. I’m not sure how to go through life without them now.

Update: Thank you to the owner for addressing this. I will update my review trusting this is not a standard for your business.

Lisa, as a former retail worker, a MBA graduate, and parent of a 17 year old hs student who works for a pizza shop, I disagree with you. Closing at 9pm does not mean clock out at 9pm. Businesses are in business to sell their products and services. Operating hours are to operate until the posted close time, and THEN employees are to work on items to close for the day. Of course there are "pre outs" that you can do if business slows before closing. My son usually does not clock out until 45 min to 1 hour after the posted closing time to handle the cleaning, dishes, prep for the next day, etc.

As a business owner, I am not sure I would be happy with $200-$500 in lost sales per week ($10-20k per year) from my employees refusing to serve customers the products that I offer during my posted business hours.

And, thanks for the wise advice. We actually did go to Ingles to buy ice cream for our families and kids and all of our big ol warm hearts....

---
Friday night, 8:40 pm, closed ice cream station early. We had 9 people with us, and we watched 15 more walk in and out while standing out on the sidewalk. Mind boggling for these kids working to screw the business out of hundreds of dollars of business due to their laziness. Mayfields Soda shop across the street has 30+ people in line at the same time. Ridiculous...
