Rusty's Surf & Turf

Very nice dinner out with a party of 9. Food and drinks were delicious and service was good. This was our first time in the outer banks and good food seems a bit hard to come by down here. We would definitely return to Rusty's if we ever find ourselves back down obx.

It was our first time visiting Rusty's and we will definitely be back again before we head home. My husband was a little leery about the Kalbi steak because he's a ribeye purist but it did not disappoint. It was hands down one of the best steaks he's ever had. I had the Mahi Mahi and it was absolutely delicious! I've got my eye on the Shrimp & Grits for our next visit.

We decided to have our last dinner of vacation at Rusty's and it didn't disappoint!!! A table of 7 was easily accommodates and our server, whose name I forgot, was great from the beginning. The food was absolutely delicious and each of us in our 7 person party could not get enough. Perfectly fried scallops, tender and sweet, absolutely delightful! We also had the tuna steak, the Peruvian steak, the lemon chicken, fried shrimp, fried fish, and the shrimp scampi. 7 picky eaters and we were all beyond satisfied. Can't wait to come back next year!!!

Rusty's was phenomenal! I think it's my new favorite restaurant on Hatteras Island. For apps we had the fried green tomatoes and coconut mahi bites— both were out of this world. Especially the mango chutney that comes with the mahi bites. For entrees we both got specials. I got the Caribbean swordfish and my boyfriend got the crab cakes. The crab cakes were great but the swordfish was the real star of the show. Seasoned to perfection! Do yourself a favor and make a reservation so you too can eat some tasty dishes that reflect the uniqueness of the island.

We dined there last night with a group of 12 and everything was absolutely perfect! Everyone from the Hostess, waitress, cook, and owner were pleasant and absolutely amazing! The food we ordered: Apps: Fried Feta, Hush Puppies, Fried Green Tomatoes, Steak House Fries, & Fried MAHI-MAHI bites Dinner selection: 3 Fired Shrimps, 2 Ribs, 1 Lemon Chicken, 1 Shrimp Linguine, 1 Korean Style MAHI-MAHI, 1 Spicy Cashew Veg Stir Fry, and 3 Kalbi Steak. Everything we ate was cooked perfectly! I personally had the Kalbi steak and it was one of if not the best streak I've ever had. I definitely recommend Rusty's to anyone that is visiting the OBX! I will be back next year!

The food was very good and the service perfect. Even though it was very busy, the food came very quickly. It was beautifully presented. There's a good selection of food and drinks. They even have a variety of cocktails. Rusty personally welcomed all guests.

Absolutely delicious! Had the calamari and mahi mahi and shrimp appetizer! Soooo good! As an entree had the tuna special and shrimp and grits, it was amazing! Definitely recommend if you've never been! Service was great!

We were a big party of 12 and they were able to come us which was awesome. It was a very busy night so we had a few hiccups, but the staff and management were very gracious and the food was outstanding.

We are both foodies and I have a culinary background. First of all there were no prices on the special menu. A big no no in the restaurant business. We were rushed through our meal. Our entree's came out 10 minutes after our appetizer. The food and drinks were very good, well presented. The tuna was good and a nice portion but should have been sliced. The waiter was nice but must of been at our table 20 times. This is very annoying, again we were in and out in an hour. We felt we were in a NYC restaurant just wanting to turn tables.

The food at Rusty's (Lomo Saltada; Ribs) was superb, and so was the service. We had an excellent appetizer too. This was our second time here in a week, and we'd come again if there were time.

We hosted a large group, and we were seated quickly, and the service was excellent. The food was phenomenal and the suggested desserts were perfect.

This is one of our favorite places to eat on Hatteras island. The specials were great this time. Swordfish seasoned and grilled perfectly. My husband had the Peruvian steak special. Loved it! Also so nice to have a place that does reservations

We got a last-minute reservation on open table. We were sat immediately upon arrival. The waitress was nice and knowledgeable. Food was great and came out fast. Try the feta bites and definitely get the Banoffee cake it was excellent!

The service and food are always outstanding. We were seated right away. Our waiter was wonderful. The shrimp scampi was one of the best I have ever had and the steak was cooked to perfection.
