the food wasn’t made properly or even cooked right, the rolls took to long to come out, we never got utensils until after the appetizers and the food was also cold

Absolutely one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The staff is constantly on the go and you never have to ask for a thing….pretty sure they are mind readers. Seriously though, absolutely fantastic food!

Good food good service atmosphere is ok but does have a good view.
Usually when someone says it was a good value I tend to think they food wasn't real good but it was cheap. Not so here the food was very good and we got a lot it actually was a good value. We'll go back again

Edited to add:: Please note the owner response, in addition if in doubt; I encourage everyone to view the other similar reviews, including the “Owner” responses to those as well. To pass the buck, speaks for itself. We did NOT eat anywhere else that day & have been on liquids ever since. That stated; we will simply turn over all receipts, medical records and any further relating evidence to the health board & bank based upon the highly disappointing response.
2words: FOOD POISONING!!!!!!
We dined in on Sunday evening shortly after opening as we were traveling through the area, we had high hopes after viewing the menu beforehand & based off of our knowledge of the Angus restaurant in S. Myrtle (don’t know if they’re affiliated) We were a party of 5, 3 ordered the surf & turf, 1 ordered one of the steak entrees and the other ordered a salad with potato skins. This was in addition to the appetizers we ordered for the table. Once the food was received we immediately knew we made a poor choice, however not being the type to complain we decided to let it go at the time & accept we just simply wouldn’t recommend nor return. Ribs were horrible (pretty certain they were the precooked, thrown in a microwave version like you can get out your local grocer that come in a vacuum sealed pouch), corn had 0 salt/butter & was completely inedible as if it were thawed from the freezer but never cooked (both my son & I left it untouched on our plates after first bite) , steak seemed okay visually however also 0 flavor with lots of gristle. Our son left 3/4 of his NY strip untouched, this should have been yet another red flag for us. Our bill was close to $250 , again while extremely upset we agreed to just take the loss. We spent $25-30 just on our 5 sweet teas btw 😳 . This shocked us beyond belief as we frequent fine, dining restaurants quite regularly, and the pricing here seem to be quite deceptive with subpar microwave food Yet a bill that exceeded what we would spend at some of our regular five star restaurants. There only appeared to be one server responsible for all tables at the time , mind you We arrived shortly after opening, and the restaurant was completely empty. Therefore, we felt there was no excuse for the quality of food we received as they were not even busy. Going forward, we know to take that as a sign not to eat and find a different place. Fast-forward to a couple hours later once we were long gone, everyone in our party began to get sick, prompting vomiting/Diarrhea/nausea. Given there have been bouts of sicknesses going around we still gave it the benefit of the doubt however, as the evening progressed everyone’s condition, continue to decline, including our daughter, whom has kidney disease & awaiting transplant so at this point, we became extremely concerned as she was violently shaking. Upon returning home we had no choice but to visit the ER , at which time it was confirmed we had a horrible bout of food poisoning. 4 out of the 5 in our party were affected (only the person who ordered salad and potato skins was spared) . It is now 3 days later and we are STILL sick!!! To the extent work has been missed , doctor bills have accrued and we have not been able to eat a single thing since we left the restaurant. I somehow missed the negative reviews regarding similar incidents before our visit as you have to filter and dig for them on Google. It appears that this may be a repetitive thing That swept under the rug by management. We have never left a negative review of this sort for any establishment, we have never requested refunds, make a fuss etc HOWEVER We have also never acquired food poisoning from anywhere we visited as patrons. After seeing “owner” responses to other similar reviews I’m certain this will not be addressed appropriately therefore we will ensure every course of action possible is taken on our end as this is not only concerning but placed our daughter in a potentially life threatening situation. Mind you, we are all still violently ill with what feels

Angus can be a hit or miss experience in my opinion.
My last experience was a miss. Although the waiter was very kind and friendly I did not feel like he was on point.

Excuse after excuse with everything from no bread ready, to having to wait on tea to be made, mis- quoting menu information.

I have been in the restaurant industry for years and know how successful restaurants should operate.
There is an inconsistency at Angus that really stems from the lack of training and customer expectations. It all starts at the top and flows down from the management.

You only get one chance to impress your customers and every customer should get that opportunity to experience your best all the time and not just some of the time.

This place has to depend on the transient crowd and not the local loyal people as returning customers.

Prices- high for avg quality food.

Beverage’s- when ice tea goes for $5 it should be some of the best that ever touched my lips. Everyone knows that tea is 100% profit for any restaurant A party of 4 should not have to pay $20 for just ice tea. Especially in the south.

Food- avg and not top quality steaks and seafood. Salad was not fresh very stale

Service- Avg very unprofessional. not equivalent to the quality of service you should be getting for the cost of the dining experience.

Walk up the street and take notes from the Boundry house. Or next door at Oyster Rock. There you will find it more consistent. Again stemming from the management and training for excellence.

Parking: Great easy, plenty of room to park

Kid-friendliness: Very friendly to the kids.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access and spacious dining room

We had a very good meal at Angus Steak and Seafood in Calabash on Saturday evening. I was a little concerned when they did not have our reservation, but they seated us without a problem. Our server was Reneil. He was very friendly, attentive and responsive to all our requests. The food was good, my filet was cooked perfect but it was not hot, baked potato was steaming. My husband’s pork chops were plentiful and delicious. And Reneil remembered it was my birthday and brought a song and cheesecake to celebrate. We had a great evening and we will return😊

Thank you Raven, service was great.

Maybe should have considered review top hits not including steak and/or ribeye.

Can’t say I’m a connoisseur so can’t say 💯 but, I know what I like and my ribeye didn’t leave me wanting more.

Side of Mac and cheese was okay and asparagus hit the spot.

Will have to revisit the catfish. You don’t find it offered to many places around here and I recall it scratching the itch when I had a while back.

Disappointed-

We had high hopes for Angus Steak and Seafood, especially given the price point, but the experience was underwhelming. The prime rib, touted as a house specialty, was mediocre at best. The au jus tasted like a mix of Worcestershire sauce and packaged beef broth, far from the rich, flavorful accompaniment we expected. The sides were even more disappointing—the mashed potatoes were cold and lumpy, and the mac and cheese tasted like a premade, reheated dish straight from a food service supplier. For the amount of money we spent, we expected much better quality and attention to detail.
